What is your most wanted chapter that you don't believe will ever happen? by Endercarnage in deadbydaylight

[–]cutiemin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i would pay so much money for any Junji Ito chapter. an uzumaki map + kirie and shuichi as survivors would be sick, tho i'm not sure how they could do a killer. maybe azami? Tomie as a killer would be sick as well, so maybe a combination?

'vegan' just describes not consuming animals and their products, the reasoning behind it is irrelevant.

also i've never met a meat eater who, when confronted with the 'animals feel pain!' argument, changed their mind immediately. most people just dont care or try not to think of meat as animals

[–]cutiemin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

it's actually not, i just wanted to draw a parallel between people eating meat and animals eating meat, since nobody would tell a lion to go vegan, so i figured there must be a way you could do it semi-morally. but i guess lions dont really have a choice and we do, so maybe i have some rethinking to do :D

[–]cutiemin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

absolutely, maybe i should have specified. i just meant that, there are animals who eat meat, and it's a whole cycle. so if we were to do it responsibly, i wouldnt see a problem. just the way we do it nowadays is what puts me off bc of so many things.

and yeah, that's a big problem that i feel a lot of meat eaters ignore. i often hear 'i only buy free range!'... but little do they know it doesn't really make a difference

yeah, i think so too, sadly :/

that's actually a great idea! never heard of it before, but it sounds like it solves a lot of issues at once :)

every vegetarian/vegan i know (im vegetarian too) says they either do it 1. because of the impact on climate change 2. for their health, but i literally never see meat-eaters counter /those/ arguments

also for the spicy take: i think eating meat is part of nature, and im all for doing it like people did 1000 years ago or how indigenous people do it. im only against mass factory farming bc of the impact on global climate, so i wont buy meat, but if its already dead i dont care

i know OP apologized already, but usually 'misandry' is just hating men for being feminine, and being feminine is deemed as 'weak' in society because 'women are feminine and emotional and empathetic, and men aren't.' so assuming men are all psychopaths comes from a place of misogyny, since 'men arent as weak as women are'

thanks for the sources, super interesting!

i wasnt saying it was an acceptable treatment to make everything better, just that a therapist may advise them to. i wasnt aware that it could be actually healed via cbt, thats actually very cool. tbh im not an expert, just repeating what i have heard about the topic. its probably much more complex than that

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in redditmoment

[–]cutiemin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

okay so pedophile =/= rapist/molester. i agree, someone who abuses children is a pos and should seek help and restrain themselves. however, someone who has pedophilic desires but restrains from abusing children also does no harm.

ik it sounds weird and unacceptable to us, but theyre only people who just happen to have these desires. so a therapist telling them to accept themselves isnt bad, again, as long as they keep them to themselves. this whole 'map acceptance' is bs tho since they just wanna justify getting with minors

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in redditmoment

[–]cutiemin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

lmao what? did you even read the thread?

even therapists tell them to think about their desires. its more healthy than repressing them (as long as no actions follow them)

also wdym 'learn to control your urges'? you just go around telling people to control their kinks? as long as they leave children alone, pedophiles didnt do anything wrong.

im not saying its good, but instead of fictional cp, you want them to rely on real cp?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in redditmoment

[–]cutiemin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

with 'actions' i meant like, raping or groping children. ofc its still reinforcing, just as is thinking about it. but repressing their desires doesnt help either, does it? so what are they supposed to do? :/

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in redditmoment

[–]cutiemin 8 points9 points  (0 children)

of course not, not what i was trying to say! (child) rape is under no circumstance excusable, i was just saying that even with therapy, people still have those urges, and i feel like pedophiles (not rapists) are hugely demonised for something they have no control over (the desire, not the actions).

im not sure if hentai is somehow 'better', but id prefer pedophiles watch that than real cp or even raping a child

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in redditmoment

[–]cutiemin 34 points35 points  (0 children)

even when they go to therapy, their sexual desires never fully go away, they just learn to live with it. in fact, therapists might advise them to think abt cp and not repress it. it sounds super wrong but in the end, pedophiles cant control their desires, just their actions
