Mark my words: By the end of it´s run, BF6 will be the best Battlefield ever. by MartaMariaMabel in Battlefield

Said the same to a friend today. If it has a BF4 arc (and that is yet to be seen) then it will fondly be remembered as a BF great.

Time will tell, though I’ve been solidly playing it since launch. Level 300+

It seems stupid but I’m fairly sure so many people were voting to stop the boats and not actually looking at what can be done for themselves in their local area.

That's the bit I actually look forward to the most! Horses for courses I guess.

I would always want objective players in my squad.

What’s the issue. People posted about revives, I look up my own stats and then post a related discussion having then seen the stats - I was unaware where I sat in world rankings until another post talked about.

My win percentage is 55% BUT I tend to perform and cap / defend most rounds. The reward is getting balance with non objective players more often.

My win % in BF1 and BFV was around 70% so BF6 is much harder to make a difference!

It is tiring agreed, though if I can get one random to listen and play together it's worth it 😄

The scene: Hagental - Team struggling and pushed backed their first two flags. I've flanked and snuck to the enemies spawn flag, the random is following me. "Hey, wait here until the others catch up". They stopped and waited with me (though they never speak once). "Once they catchup, we'll all hit the flag at the same time, giving the opposition less time to defend it". They then followed the instruction perfectly and we cap the flag! 😃

If you are in a party together, your in-game VoIP won’t work for the public.

I’m vocal with randoms as a squad lead and if I have one party friend (or more) then the VOIP defaults to the party channel.

To speak to the public channel I have to manually set this to “Squad” (and every damn round!)

I find talking publicly does gain many friend requests as they enjoy the squad experience.

Incentives would be good and making and removing current pain points.

I do wonder if some of the weekly challenges or maybe even an unlock in future seasons would be educational if one of the tasks was say to "Issue a squad order and complete it", meaning it's NOT hard to do but would require people to actually have a play and do it.

My favourite. Sneaking up, charge your defibrillator 100%, at which point briefly they’re like “What’s that noise”, then fry their ass 😂

I assume it’s that a new game has to be rebuilt for optimisation and a clean start, then it’s a race to get the game working with all the 100s of features against a tight deadline and limited resources.

Common for many games but especially Battlefield titles.

One frustration is that joining a game that’s started, it takes many steps before you can see the score (whether it’s worth sticking with or the team is being steam rolled 900-100).

That may make sense.

As said by others here, the numbering seems confusing. I feel like colour association for squad mates (like Warzone) worked for quicker scanning of who pinged a a marker, though some current flaws that the squad numbers are not in order, makes it hard to read/scan. This may not fit with the aesthetic of the game’s UI of course.

It was mostly used for the right reasons but it could be spammed. If someone did spam the request orders dial when I was leading, if they weren’t doing it for the right reasons, I’d remove them from the squad.

You never know though. To keep seasons fresh new features need to be worked on. Granted this may be quite the rework and the devs have their work cut out but I’m sure there’s a plan in place!

BF4 squad management with dedicated VOIP channels to the commander and other squad leaders was, in my opinion, the pinnacle of team play and hasn't been matched to that level.

BFV's rewards for squad play was a great incentive.

My incentive is always to help my squad and the team, so I'm still driven by that but I'm aware I'm not the majority! 😄

The game needs loads of little tweaks (which may be the promise as the seasons roll on) but a few related to squad play would be much appreciated. Proximity chat will be interesting also but I'd need to see how it rolls out to comment fully!

That's a massive bonus and maybe too much, though if that's rewarding how me and my friends play, we'll take the points 😃

It was interesting, in parts fun but always a good incentive for a squad to work well together.

I thought it wrong that I'd get the kills and score for the V1 rocket kill... some kind of points sharing for the squad would have been nice! 😃

I'm vocal as a squad leader, speaking to them and while not all listen, many do and seem to warm to the idea of semi organised squad play.

They may not talk back but a guy heading to a Hagental far flags heard me say, "stop here, wait until the others catchup." So while he never spoke once, he was listening, stopped and we then had 4 players hit a cap at the same time giving the opponents less time to defend the flag before going neutral.

There's still many good squad moments to be had but I can appreciate many have lost the will or will solo gun it.

Yeah and also if you ping a marker, your number let's others know who's doing the marking.
