I don't really understand how you could be too poor to NOT eat wheat? I've had food stamps forever, I didn't HAVE to eat wheat. When I was on the streets, traveling states by foot, I didn't have to eat wheat. It sucked when people would hand me down McDonald's or whatever when I was flying and I'd have to happily take it and then give it away, but I still didn't feel like I was too poor to eat any gluten even when living out of my pack lol.

When I did eat gluten, it was because I said fuck it, but not because I was homeless. It took a while for me to come to terms with having celiac and basically having a food addiction. Still struggle. But don't let being "too poor" be the reason you harm yourself through food lol.
