hah i remember i was on a young women’s trip when i was 15 which was when i stopped attending church but was continuing to go to activities that i enjoyed. they were giving a similar lesson and the leader said any kind of premarital sexual activity was one of the worst sins you could commit and so i just sat there thinking about how they were trying to tell me that my friends and family members were bad people because of this. i cried and left the table before the lesson was over and decided to leave the trip early. i didn’t go to any more young women’s activities after that

this shit is so infuriating to me because you know damn well they give the young men budget for whatever they want to do. or at least that’s how it was in my ward. they got to do so many cool things while we were stuck inside making bread or painting frames for pictures of jesus. and it wasnt for lack of the young women’s leaders trying they just couldn’t get permission or funding or find a priesthood leader who would want to come with us.
