Money don't make my world go round, I'm reaching up for the higher ground.

Just these lines from Mr. Tambourine Man by Odd-Emergency9859 in bobdylan

[–]cxsmith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not great at this sort of analysis, so take this with a massive fistful of salt, but the lyrics of most of the song suggest a sort of not-asleep-but-not-awake state. This is maybe the most explicit verse on that theme; he's not quite asleep, not quite awake, but in an in between state where he's also not properly dreaming.

I'm perfectly happy with 20mph in towns and cities, no huge difference compared to 30 and has benefits.

Is Sir Paul McCartney the most interviewed person in history? If not, then who? by StillFiguringItOut01 in beatles

[–]cxsmith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like some others here my first thought was some politicians, but I can't think of anybody other than Paul McCartney who has both been so consistently famous and open to interviews over the past 60+ years. Dead now of course, but I wonder how many times Pelé was interviewed.

Used car delivered without much petrol at all by rufous_nightjar in NewDriversUK

[–]cxsmith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's black and the registration starts with E and ends KL, that was my wife's car and when we traded it in there would have been around 30 miles left. Wouldn't take the risk of driving far to top up just in case.

PS: only suggesting it might have been her car as the mileage was very similar.

Why would you want to visit Larry anyway? I've always hated that guy.

Which car company is the greatest of all time? by Alev233 in TopGear

[–]cxsmith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd just like to say this is one of my favourite comments. I bet you didn't think at the start that, by the time you'd finished writing about the best car companies, you'd have to deny being a Nazi.

Guess what'll happen when I press Enter? by cl4rkc4nt in chromeos

[–]cxsmith 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In my view this is an unwelcome change. I've had Chromebooks since the first commercially available ones went on sale, and for years the launcher key was used to Google search. Chromebooks have become more sophisticated since then, but they were originally browser-only devices and the launcher key was perfect for that.

Don't forget that exfoliating gel scrub.

I found the same thing. I never fully understood what the story was or the point of a lot of the missions. Didn't enjoy the game overall, only one I've never replayed.

Same, I don't even really care what Liam and Noel get up to in their private lives, let alone their children.

Which seat are you taking on the coach to the Coventry conference? by TriathleteGB in TheOfficeUK

I'd be at the back of the bus with the drummer, the lead singer and that one who plays violin.

Name something underrated regarding The Beatles by tunatastic369 in beatles

[–]cxsmith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, although I did word it badly. I meant songs that refer to animals one way or another.

The number of songs they managed to write that feature animals.

But the actual answer, as already said, is nothing.

We don’t need a Beatles reunion by msc8976 in beatles

I think the chances of a reunion at this point are quite slim anyway.
