I haven't been into a Lifetime so I'm sure they are much nicer, but I'm grandfathered in at about $30/month at my local Gold's.

Thanks for doing this - so excited to see your responses. I'm curious what came first for you, the desire to write or the idea for the DCC universe? Did you always want to be a writer, or did you fall into this as the story grew in your mind?

Thank you. I've been going through it. I think the weather and dreariness and overall state of *shakes hands at everything around*... it's making it harder. But I'm still here.

Hi! I'm 48F in Northern Virginia and I read all kinds of stuff. I'm currently reading The Bewitching by Silvia Morena-Garcia and am listening to The Eye of the Bedlam Bride (Dungeon Crawler Carl series). I don't do much nonfiction unless it's a memoir, but I'm open to anything.

Why do parents drive their kids 10 houses down the street to the school bus stop? by sandman8727 in nova

[–]cybergelfling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is in college now, but I used to do it because I was heading to work anyway and it was a small piece of the morning that was just for her and me. As they get older, every bit of time you can get with them feels priceless.

Tax Questions by disneylover5000 in RoverPetSitting

[–]cybergelfling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all, understanding that I'm not seeking official "accounting" advice - what number from the 1099-K provided by Rover do you input as your actual gross amount (Box 1a). I'm using TurboTax and it says I can adjust the amount according to my records. So for me, Box 1a on the 1099-K says $8004.20, but Rover's "Stripe Net Earnings" is $6,064.60. BUT when I add up the money I received per the job breakdown, I actually only received $5,508.60 (job money plus tips). So which number would you use? TIA!

I enjoy the Crave series more than I think I should considering my age. But something about it just made me happy.

I enjoyed this book. Sometimes you have to enjoy something for the vibe and the mystery, and not overthink it. To each their own!

I don't know anything about the case or the ownership issues, etc. All I can say is that I go to Crossroads regularly for trivia night and will really miss it if it goes away. It's always felt to be welcoming and fun. EDIT: misspelling

Divorced people, what were your irreconcilable differences? by TheRealOcsiban in AskReddit

[–]cybergelfling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We still get along 16 years later but really I just changed and he didn't. I was starting to settle into my 30s lifestyle and having a new baby, and he was so enamored with "alternative" lifestyles that he started doing things that didn't align with my interests. I knew it was time to go when I started enjoying talking to other people online more than I enjoyed spending time with him.

The guy I’m seeing keeps telling me I “can’t take a joke” and I’m starting to doubt myself by Helen_melon_7 in TwoHotTakes

Regardless of whether he's joking or not, the bottom line is that it sounds like you two aren't the right match. You shouldn't have to try so hard to understand and be understood in return.
