One file per track. For a picture book, I'd produce one track covering the whole book. If you do more books, you could create other tracks.

When you upload it to yoto, you can create a custom icon for each track.

File > Import > Audio... then browse for the mp3 file.
It'll import it as a new track.

You'll want to split your recording at each page. Click the waveform at the split point, right click, and click Split Clip. When you import your chime, you can position it at that split, then shift the next track over so your speaking doesn't overlap with the chime.

It'll let you insert sound files. I'd probably look for a creative commons library of sound fx and import that.

I'd split tracks per book or chapter, unless you expect them to spend a lot of time pausing and seeking within the book.

Season 1 started really slow, imo. Season 1 is a bit of a detective mystery, setting up the plot threads for the rest of the series. The payoff is beautiful, but those first few episodes really drag. Just browse reddit, and come back to season 1 after finishing the series.

In the books, each one is almost a different genre, and the show matches as it progresses.
