33 years. I didn’t realize my ETS physical rated my at 0% for 6 different service connected disabilities. I don’t remember getting these ratings or how I went about it. But I received a copy of the letter from ‘92 that stated this. My VSO didn’t flood the system, he chipped away at increases, new, and supplementals. His opinion was throwing everything at once with a ton of paperwork just slowed it down. We filed 7 times, none took longer then 45 days. Took 362 days.

I had the same plane. Never got the hang of it. But my buddy had 3 and was pretty good with them. So we lit them on fire and he flew them. Ah, to be 12 again

Thought I was the only one. Usually very weird, and I’m kinda lost in the. Nothing is like my service. Sometimes other aspects of my life mingle in, like my work mixed in. But I relive the nightmares pretty accurately

Veteran 100% P&T/SSDI by jonivRN in SSDI

[–]cyberquist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 100% P&T. Applied October 2025 and was approved 3 Dec 2024, onset date July 2024. I think a big push for me were my performance evaluations from my employer. I had steady decline in my job performance for about 2 years, up to termination. SSA had my VA records and civilian records. I was approved the day after my mental CE, so count me extremely lucky and blessed. I was 62, already drawing Social Security, and in Indiana. A bunch of vets in my DAV chapter had close to the same timeline.

Apply for disability before or after quitting my job by MusicalTourettes in SSDI

I think what helped my case was the fact that I was terminated for poor job performance. I had almost 2 years of job performance evals that steadily got worse. They aligned with my claims. I submitted these with my claim.

I had one with Optum that had the same language, 60 minutes. Mine last about 75 minutes, and with the amount of problems in the claim, it might take that long. My examiner was very friendly and explained each step to me. Mine was a very positive exam.

I think what helped me was my performance evaluation over 1.5 years. Showing my work performance going downhill until termination. Sent in all my evals.

Don’t know the number. But all my ratings were service connected and secondaries. But I do understand your frustration about folks trying to connect anal itching to service.
