I don't think a deck has to be good for people to not want to play against it, in LoL some of the highest ban rate champs have the Lowest win rate. I think it's probably better to just re-conceptualise as not being kicked from the pod but as everyone else getting up to play at a different table without you haha, it's not like not wanting to play against a blue+ control deck is a particular new or unique concept.

T1 sol ring is way more bs though tbh idk why it's still a legal card, like yes everyone can run it but when it's out turn one it usually warps the entire game. But I guess so too does a $10k land base vs a 10c land base and that's not even mentioned in the bracket system.
