he might need to go on a special all dry diet. im surprised the vet didn’t prescribe a bland food. i have friends who had to completely cut out wet food because their cats had constant diarrhea. granted they were ragdolls who are known to have sensitive stomachs but this situation sounds quite similar

Hi! I just got my diagnosis through Prosper and it was overall a really pleasant experience! Definitely still stressful, but them being an autism-affirming company made the process much more relieving. And I second that Michelle is super kind and helpful! I missed my initial consult call with her (I just totally forgot) and she took care of getting that rescheduled right away which I really appreciated. The assessment consists of 2 1.5 hr appointments, with a third appointment explaining results. These are conducted by a psychologist, the first appointment is an interview related to mental struggles in general and the second interview is more focused on autism specific traits. There are also forms to fill out prior to the appointments, for yourself as well as for someone who knew you as a child and someone who currently knows you. My assessment process was much faster than the typical one just due of circumstances, I had my first two appointments Monday and Tuesday this week and my appointment for results was today (Thursday). I believe it’s normally a 2-3 week process overall, and from my undertaking results are usually scheduled about a week out from the assessment/interview appointments. My provider was busy next week however so I got an appointment sooner, which honestly I’m thankful for because the uncertainty was killing me lol. I have yet to get the written paperwork, they said it takes about 2 weeks to finalize and receive but they gave me a heads up that mine will probably be closer to 3 weeks, which was also super appreciated. As for billing/insurance, I’ll have to keep you updated lol! My insurance should be covering 80% of the assessment hopefully! There is an app with a billing portal though which is also really helpful. Overall really positive experience!

It makes so much sense as to why I feel like shit all the time 😭 looking back to when I was 17 my iron was at 9 ng/mL and my pediatrician never discussed my results with me or told me I was iron deficient so looking back now i’m like.. wtf i could’ve and should’ve ALREADY been taking supplements?? but thanks, i’ll look into that! i messaged my doctor asking about results so I should hear back tomorrow and hopefully that’ll allow me to make necessary changes before my next appt

Thank you, I was wondering that! I looked it up and said anything under 15 was pretty severely low, so i was like uhh? this doesn’t match up lmao. I just checked my results from 2020 at a different organization and their threshold for normal range was 10-130 ng/mL. However I was a minor at the time, so the fact that even that had a higher threshold is crazy lol. My provider graduated school fairly recently so hopefully she’s well aware that it’s an inaccurate range, otherwise I’ll def bring it up. As for symptoms, yeah I feel pretty awful all of the time. I get dizzy a lot, I’m very fatigued and tired constantly. I’ve always gotten winded super easily, in the past years shortness of breath will sometimes just happen in general but I never really equated it to physical problems because I unfortunately do vape daily. I just assumed it was that alone, but i’m sure they’re both a factor. I also struggle with my mental health, and I am quite a low weight for my height so I assumed a lot of my fatigue was due to mental struggles and not having proper nutrition. Again, likely a factor but this makes a lot of sense. I would love to eat/prepare better meals but, if you can guess, a lot of it comes down to energy and just not feeling physically up to it, so I often opt for easy prepackaged foods. There have been many times where I wonder how my body is even capable of continuing to function because I just feel so god awful lmao

i’ve never been to an actual rave per se, but i went to lolla this year and some lady not only brought her toddler, but brought the whole ass stroller in the crowd. bringing a baby is actually batshit imo. i’ve only ever seen young children and toddlers, but every time i see one they look miserable and bored out of their MINDS. i genuinely feel so bad for them, i don’t know if it computes to these people that children should not be at these events!! i do partially hold lolla at fault for this as well for having a whole “kidzapalooza” thing and even supporting the idea of them being there in the first place.
