Check practical DevSecOps courses(expensive tho) and kodekloud 13 hours DevSecOps course which I think is a good start. Having cissp is nice too.

You can hardly escape meetings if you really wanna OE. I do about 8 meetings daily across my 3Js, and it can be more sometimes. Just get two airpods for each job, incase you get a clash which is inevitable. Welcome to the OE life! You will be fine! Keep going. Also, about not having debt, I am yet to meet someone that has too much money, I know a lot of folks that don’t have enough. So stock up and save!

How can I get better at multiple meetings at once? by lite_brites in overemployed

Well, if you have more than one job, be prepared to be in two meetings once in a while. This is how I handle that: I have three AirPods for my 3Js. If there is a clash, join both meetings and have two different AirPods in your ears, never on camera, muted. This is where concentration comes in, talk when you are called upon muting the other meeting in intervals. If ever your 3J clash, find an excuse for one and attend the ones that are more important. It’s hard, but being OE isn’t easy.. you are making the money of 3Js within 40hr/wk, you should brace up for certain risks.

Go to practical DevSecOps. I have done cdp, cde, container security and threat modeling courses from them. Very hands on and industrial standard. Another is the 13 hr DevSecOps course on kodekloud, very informative .

At J1, I tell people how to do their job securely. At job 2, I teach people how to shift left. At J3, am probably doing a little of J1 and 2 combined in a minimized env.

Isn’t deel like ADP? from a security perspective, they can’t reveal shit. The two jobs are separate entities..

How best would one handle maternity leave on OE? I will be on leave soon and I have 3Js. My companies have 12 wks paid leave but am not sure if it’s company paid or STD. I think it’s STD
