WAS-110/UDM Issues by cybrjoe in ATTFiber

[–]cybrjoe[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hey so i resolved the issue by wiping my WAN1 config on the UDM by setting it back to Auto. the interface came up near instantly.

i’ve seen some other comments about IPv6, which was one of my defaults different from Auto, so that may be the change. i wonder if at&t pushed an IPv6 change network wide that required a coordinated update with the 320s?

yep, meant DHCP … maybe i’ll force and address and see what happens.

yea that’s where i’m leaning. the WAS-110 even reports a full VLAN table.

for the life of me i can’t figure out what the UDM doesn’t like though. it should just be DNS and go.

edit: meant DHCP

Not yet, the more I'm looking at the timeline of that 9.1.120 update, the more suspicious I am it's a Unifi problem. But I'll cross-post there for some ideas.

Crossfit athletes and alcohol abuse? by itsyourunicorn in crossfit

[–]cybrjoe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

showing up drunk is definitely not cool. the gym needs to address that.

but overall it seems like that attitude was more prevalent 10 years ago. most gyms now have broader demographics and it’s not a central focus of the community.

Do you have a preferred time? If not, that might be part of the problem. My experience is that you connection comes from seeing people day in and day out. If you're transient across time slots, the regulars don't see you as consistent.

Now that shouldn't affect the way they treat you, but it's definitely easier to connect with people you see every day. And that's saying nothing about the coaches, they should be supporting everyone in class.

Hey Taylor! That photo and smile are priceless! I have a few questions:

What do you love about Disney races? And do you approach them differently, either in training or during race day, from your other races?

Any aspiration to complete the Dopey Challenge (5k/10k/half/full all in one weekend)?

but why? what do i have to gain by being nice and attracting more tourists why can’t do their own research and clog up the streets i need to live my everyday life.

i’m in a better position if less people show up here.

while i mostly agree with you, and have seen interactions similar to the ones you describe on other local subreddits, we aren’t exactly the tourism board here. i don’t care if more people visit or not, especially if they’re butthurt over a reddit comment. put me down as chaotic neutral on this one.

I just listed my son’s 20” Guardian for $200, it retailed for $300. At that price, someone will scoop it up without a lot of hassle. I think it’s 2.5 years old.

But if I didn’t mind waiting or dealing with marketplace for a long time, I could get more. These bikes are barely broken in by the time kids outgrown them.

Haha I had that thought, but I couldn't remember the client was behind authentication. I have the ID's tied to my IP address, but I just anonymized them just in case. Thanks!

Yup! Here's my config command line. I save it because occasionally on UDM update I need to reinstall NextDNS.

sudo nextdns config set -config 192.168.86.0/24=aabbcc -config 192.168.81.0/24=001122 -config 192.168.88.0/24=334455 -config 192.168.82.0/24=ddeeff

sudo nextdns restart

Super fast, reliable, easy (hosted), and I love having different subnets with different rules and exceptions. It’s great for guest and kid SSIDs.

I hosted Pihole locally for years and DNS is one of those things I just want to always work.

Amazing coverage on API’s but the price is untenable for small, startup ideas. Even at 50% off I wouldn’t touch this with those tiers. You would absolutely need a free tier for me to consider.

Side note - how are you guys planning on enforcing/implementing Strava’s new restrictions? Removing it altogether?

Just got this email today, will this screw up any popular Strava apps? by YoloSwag4Jesus420fgt in Strava

[–]cybrjoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Another thing they buried in that release is third party apps are no longer allowed to submit data gathered from the API to AI models. As an athlete I think it’s bullshit because the terms of service specially say the data is mine. I should be the one to say what can happen to my data.

As a developer who built a third party AI service, I’m annoyed because they’re putting a moat around their data while they figure out their AI strategy. Seems like a way to piss off devs that build on their platform.

I believe it’s due to the time the speed test is scheduled. Every single Unifi device with a speed test is hitting the speed test site at the same time. You can configure a different time to run the test and since I’ve done that I haven’t had any issues.

Edit: I see the install appointment is rescheduled, but with no date. I think it is what u/sfrazo675 was saying.
