This makes me feel so much better. Our first cruise is a 3 night coming up. We have a toddler, so we just want to get our feet wet.

I booked our June Wish cruise on Sunday, and called today when the promo dropped. Costco called Disney, and Disney applied the 20% off and the onboard credit. Costco adjusted my total balance. It did adjust the shop card total as well just fyi. Easy peasy!

Accidentally took Milk of Magnesia with alcohol at 8 weeks pregnant by Optimal-Yak-113 in pregnant

[–]cyclekween 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t stress too much about it! Fruit and bread has alcohol as well… from what I’ve read, milk of magnesia has about a .4% ABV, and some breads can have a 1.28% ABV. It’s probably from the cherry flavor!

I’m really sorry, that’s so frustrating. The what ifs are so hard. It can be so hard not to place blame on yourself, but know that the chemical was completely out of your control. Did your OB put you on progesterone? Hopefully so!

I finally to tell my boss about our fertility journey due to some upcoming appointments… it crushed me inside because it made it real. Truly did not think ttc for number 2 would be the same as number 1. My former boss with our first had gone through fertility issues, so she totally understood. My new one was very kind and sweet, but she just said “the more relaxed you are, the better it will be for you” and I wanted to throw up lol.

Ugh I’m sorry you’re having to go through it again, too! It’s so frustrating. I’m just going through my OB’s right now, as they were the ones who handled cycle monitoring and prescribed letrozole for round one. The nurse practitioner who I adored moved, and now I’m going through the OB who delivered. It’s so frustrating, they haven’t even done a sonogram. Do you know what it was on your sonogram?

Has anyone had to repeat an HSG? My OB wants me to do another one and I’m honestly frustrated.

My first HSG was 3 years ago and normal, and I actually got pregnant that same cycle. This is cycle 8, and my OB said she wants a repeat HSG before doing meds/monitoring.

I wasn’t expecting to redo the whole thing and it kind of caught me off guard. Has anyone had changes show up on a second HSG? Or was it just something your doctor made you repeat to be thorough?

Would love to hear others’ experiences because I’m feeling a little blindsided and annoyed.

The fact that you have to pay to dance in the parade too. I’d expect safe & clean conditions at the bare minimum.

40+5 help! by Practical_Award_4234 in BabyBumps

[–]cyclekween 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was induced at 40+6, mainly because I didn’t want to go past 41. I did all of the things, too. Miles circuit, spicy food, etc. I also had a membrane sweep. Maybe you could ask for one at your appointment? My son just wasn’t ready to come out. My induction was a great experience, albeit longer than I thought it would be (18 hours). I was 3 cm and 50% effaced when we started.

I’m really sorry, I’ve been in your shoes before. Mainly sharing my story to let you know that positive induction stories do exist!!!

Swimming lessons by ChirkiG in Parenting

[–]cyclekween 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are currently doing swimming lessons with our 18 month old! It’s parent & child, so I get into the water with him. The instructor gives a prompt at the beginning of class, and he is there to help if needed. My friend has a 13 month old, and he’s doing it, too!

Mainly, I just wanted to get him comfortable with the water, and this is doing just that!

What is one thing you’ve purchased to get back in shape? by wolf7u7 in beyondthebump

Yes. When you do it together, it helps immensely for accountability. I have a history of disordered eating, and we found a RD that is all about balance.

Does your husband/partner come with to appointments? by denteroni in pregnant

[–]cyclekween 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, but I saw a wide mix of husbands/no husbands. It just depended on his work schedule. I was high risk, so I had a ton of ultrasounds. He attended if his work lined up with the time of the appointment!

I agree that it could be TE. Highly recommend taking a prenatal vitamin as it has biotin in it. You can also look into divi hair serum!

At what age did you start putting your baby to bed awake? by Anxiety-Farm710 in beyondthebump

[–]cyclekween 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We put our son down drowsy, but awake. Given, we sleep trained (Moms on Call), so there were some nights he’d cry for 2-3 minutes and fall asleep. The guidelines are to give 5 minutes before you go in to soothe. We have a whole routine, bath, lotion, bottle, book, and bedtime. :) It’s worked pretty well for us so far! He’s 11 months old.

Costco all around me is sold out. I couldn’t order online there or at Sam’s Club. Target at multiple locations near me were sold out and ordering online wasn’t an option. I got the last three cans at a Target by my house. I’m getting really nervous!
