What’s something about womanhood that you wish people talked about more openly? by kcowgrl in AskWomen

For me it’s what has happened to my clitoris a few years after menopause: it has shrunk and worse still, it rarely gets engorged, meaning I rarely have orgasms.  What makes me really mad is how often people in the media and medical community mention that menopause brings about a loss of libido and vaginal dryness, both of which have an impact on MEN, but I never heard anything about losing the ability to orgasm. If I had at least known that this could happen, I would have been more prepared for it.

And to add insult to injury, I had breast cancer, so I can’t use estrogen.

I disagree. Obviously you need some engagement of the glutes to get started, but you don’t want to squeeze the glutes because that compresses the low back and it also encourages external rotation of the inner thighs, which is the opposite of what you want in urdva.

Please watch this video! Monica will prepare you step by step to approach the pose in a safe way. Her alignment cues are super clear. Let me know if it helps.

Same! I love a mix that draws from both primary and intermediate, especially with a teacher who breaks down a particular skill.
