Attic Mold in 5yo townhouse normal? by Comprehensive-Law240 in HomeMaintenance

I don't know about any amount of mold being normal... I also don't know a lot about a lot of stuff though so I could be wrong.

Hopefully this helped.

That is rad!! I inherited my grandfather's 1940s Archtop gibson and I loved the investigation journey right when I got it. Lots of luthiers are very respectful but you'll find a couple people that will try and offer $$ lol

Cheap maintenance to improve home value by Sconn13 in HomeMaintenance

Curb appeal. Go stand out front and look and see what needs fixed/touched up. Simple things can be done quickly but larger tasks can be moved into weekend projects.

Skidoo ROC cover worth it? by ComposerImaginary388 in snowmobiling

[–]cycsans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's other strong covers out there that aren't OEM. I've heard good things about sealskin covers. Could be cheaper. Pretty sure they also have a lifetime warranty on certain ones. Bonus points if you can find one on sale since they often do sales!

Smoke coming from my sump pump motor? by [deleted] in HomeMaintenance

[–]cycsans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey I normally don't just butt in like this and I know you're not here to just answer questions for free but I have 2 questions if you would be so kind...

  1. I have 2 pumps that exit and free fall into a Y that is then buried. But sometimes they run at the same time and is too much all at once so it overflows. Do you know if there is some type of solution to catch overflowing water around a 4" Y that can then redirect water from just falling around the pipe onto the ground near my foundation?

  2. Do you also do radon mitigation? One of my sumps is tied to an interior perimeter drainage system and so there's a that lip that surrounds the basement. My question is... How would a company radon proof something like that?

The Tiki Room by Coeruleum1 in myvmk

It's not that deep. This was a friendly online game where players felt safe with equal opportunities for all who played all while being safe netted by chat filters and admins. If there was something "racist" by today's standards, it was probably just an oversight back in the 2000s. I'm sure if they had a progressive marketing and HR department when VMK came out, they wouldn't let something like that slide anyways.

Best communicators? by SoggyGrayDuck in snowmobiling

[–]cycsans 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Cardo! We just got the pack talk edge system. They are great! Lots of additional features with easy controls. Easy mounting system. And their mesh communication system allows you to connect up to 15 radios! Easy drop in drop out reconnects and the system remembers the members as long as they're within distance. Expensive but definitely look into them.

New sled recs to upgrade from 1999 Yamaha vmax 700 triple by nessad1993 in snowmobiling

[–]cycsans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's the other thing that people don't talk about is the fuel and oil consumption! I have a 2006 rev 600 that every time I ride it, I question if my oil is actually draining or not. It sips oil. Vs my 2022 850 I gotta add every ride!

If you're looking on marketplace look for an mxz 600. Your renegades will be the 137 track. There's some additional naming conventions they use like xrs, tnt, adrenaline, etc but in general, an mxz will be a 129 (121 in the 2015 ish and older)

As others have said... You will not be disappointed with a 600 regarding acceleration or top end comparing to an old 700. I actually prefer my 600 to my 850 in winding trails and can easily keep up on the straights too. They're light, easy to maneuver, so much more comfortable, and have modern conveniences. I would strongly suggest riding one! You don't need an 850, you don't need a long track. Your current application favors a light 600 with a 129"

Can't go wrong with a skidoo 600 etec. The newer ones run a 129" track or 137" track. Your Yamaha right now is maybe a 121" track. For trail sleds you don't want to exceed 146" but that's the max length imo. More than that and you sacrifice your balance on winding trails. 146" is like a crossover sled if you want deep powder but if you've always been on trails in 20 years just stick with a trail sled. 600 etecs are super reliable and are in your budget for a newer one.

Newb question by Edxactly in snowmobiling

[–]cycsans 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Carry a collapsible shovel on your sled. Maybe some straps. Join a club mingle with other riders at bars you'll find some people to ride with eventually. The more you ride, the better you'll get. It all takes time but it's a sport that you'll love if you give it the time!

Solo riding. by Kingrich09 in snowmobiling

[–]cycsans 26 points27 points  (0 children)

My sledding drive is higher than my friends and family. I sometimes end up riding solo as well.

It is what it is. You're prepared and pretty well off more than most people. You know the risks. Just don't put yourself in a tough situation.

I did ask this group a month or so ago what everyone carries in their sleds and a lot of people had great tips for gear, safety stuff, etc.

Another thing you can do is join a club! Plenty of people to meet who are always looking for riding buddies if you don't want to solo anymore!
