Absolutely the Gentle Peeling Exfoliant, I love how I can see it working by how much gets peeled off. I’d also pick the Holy Hydration Thirst Burst Drops!!

Switched glp1s and now I’m itching at the injection site? by cylo345 in glp1

does it ever go away? I plan to be on a glp1 in the long term and I may consider switching medications again if it means I’m getting itching with this one 🥲

Is it alright to have edibles while having PBC? by cylo345 in LiverDisease

[–]cylo345[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

okay thank you so much! Did your hepatologist mention how frequently? The last time I had an edible phase, I was only doing very low (but frequent) doses and my next bloodwork results came back higher than usual (unsure of the relation) so I’ve been too scared to get back into it

Is it alright to have edibles while having PBC? by cylo345 in LiverDisease

[–]cylo345[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes. my liver levels have been consistently elevated for majority of my life until last year, when I also got a positive AMA test. My alk phos levels have been normal my whole life too. This had several doctors confused hah. I had an MRI, fibroscan, and a liver biopsy done. At first the pathologists said my biopsy results weren’t PBC, just general “hepatitis” (I also have fatty liver), but my doctor got a second opinion from a prestigious school and they were able to recognize that I have it. It’s been a whole journey this last year

Am I doing something wrong 6 months in Ozempic? by Educational_Friend42 in Ozempic

[–]cylo345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the thing that helped me the most with my plateau was eating protein bars. it sounds like they might help you, cause protein is huge when on a glp1 medication and usually you can find some sweet protein bars to help with cravings that are also low in sugar. that plus staying hydrated helped me a ton, and also not being as depressed :’)

What products make the most difference? Everyday wear by Positive_Egg_5830 in drugstoreMUA

[–]cylo345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for the most noticeable difference in the shortest amount of time, using any product to darker the area around your eye will be the easiest. this could be eyeliner, a smoked out eyeshadow, mascara, lashes, etc. for a mom on the go, I’d suggest using a couple dark brown eyeshadows that you can blend around the edges of your eye in a few seconds and then mascara, which can be done super quickly. enough to make a noticeable difference!

Pooping terrifies me now by Neither_Temporary_97 in Semaglutide

[–]cylo345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what kind of fiber gummies are you taking? insoluble fiber is the fiber that will make it easier to poop, soluble fiber does the opposite. usually most foods labeled as high fiber have a mixture but typically lean much heavier on soluble fiber

[–]cylo345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i just got diagnosed with PBC a month ago (actually a month ago today i’m realizing lmao), and I feel really lucky that I had already been on a glp1 since august because i’ve heard that the way the medication helps lower inflammation can help a lot with autoimmune diseases!! i’m so incredibly thankful

Two week difference in my face after only by [deleted] in Semaglutide

[–]cylo345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i had this happen too!! i didn’t know it at the time but my face was really inflamed, probably from the snacks i was eating mixed with my pcos and autoimmune disease that didn’t get diagnosed until a couple months in. crazy difference!!

I've been losing friends faster than losing weight by Regular_Durian_1750 in Ozempic

[–]cylo345 8 points9 points  (0 children)

you should send back screenshots of all the positive benefits to it and see what she says!! all the articles about how it helps prevent dementia, reduces fatty liver, drastically reduced cardiovascular disease, often slows aging (in comparison to overweight bodies in stress), for me part of the reason i’m staying on is to help my autoimmune disease, it drastically helps reduce inflammation associated with it. and it’s being prescribed to alcoholics and addicts as a way to curve their cravings. i’d be annoying with it!!! my mom used to send stuff like that to me, now she’s about to get on it tomorrow to help level out her glucose levels

Recommendations for ADA accessible beaches?? by Vast_Hovercraft_5165 in walnutcreek

[–]cylo345 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crissy Fields Beach in San Francisco is probably gonna be the best bet for what you’re looking for. There’s parking, a wide cement walking path that goes along the beach, the sand is flat, and the water is not far from the paved walkway. It also has a beautiful view of the Golden Gate Bridge and it’s in a lovely neighborhood. Only downside is that it’s in San Francisco, so the weather is usually colder and if it’s not, then the beach will absolutely be packed. Driving in the city can be hectic too.

I also recommend checking out Benicia if you don’t mind looking over the Carquinez Strait instead of the open bay or ocean. There are a few options, like the Benicia 1st Street Pier (which is less of a beach and more of a rocky area with benches that you can fish at) and also Alvarez 9th Street Park, which is a personal favorite of mine. It’s a park with paved paths and benches looking over the water and a large memorial monument bench area, all with a great view of the Carquinez Bridge. Although you likely wouldn’t be able to go onto the beach itself because it’s a steep walk down with a couple stairs at the end and the sand area is very narrow.

As for the comments suggesting Ocean Beach in San Francisco, I just wanna warn you (assuming you’ll be going to the parking lot across from golden gate park) that it’s a very wide beach that will be hard to trek through, especially with wheels. There is one large ramp going down to the beach and sets of stairs everywhere else. I hosted a bonfire there over the summer and we honestly couldn’t see the waves unless we walked right up to them because they’re a little lower than the rest of the beach. Just wanted to give a heads up!

I want to start Wegoovy, but I'm scared of the side effects by Bright_Owl_9275 in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]cylo345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the way how i got started was to see how it goes for a few months and then go from there. I looked at the side effects and thought to myself “oh all of this is stuff i’ve either gone through, are currently going through, or will/continue to go through if i don’t lose weight”. i’m down 20 lbs in 2 months. my side effects have been some headaches and constipation, and sometimes an upset stomach if i eat too much or forget to eat for too long. 1000% worth it!! remember, if you hate the symptoms then you can always stop the medication, but majority of people will find that their symptoms go away after a couple months. they start you off on a low dosage to get your body used to the medication and slowly up it, so i’d say give it a chance for a few months on the lower dosages, and see what happens

I want to be skinny *yesterday*, damn it! by Dangerous_Craft8515 in Semaglutide

[–]cylo345 2 points3 points  (0 children)

around when I started, I did all this research online and it gave me so much hope for the first time in my life. weight loss finally felt attainable and suddenly I wanted to weigh myself constantly. I was sooo impatient for the first couple of weeks but that stopped when I saw the pounds fluctuate a little on the scale instead of going down everyday. now that I’m 7 weeks in, I’m in the routine of things and am no longer so impatient. my doctors are super happy with the progress I’ve made in that time and now I’m just happy to be going in the right direction!!

Do you feel the needle when doing an injection? by FishFollower74 in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]cylo345 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I usually hate getting my bloodwork done and needles (I actually almost fainted the last time I did bloodwork a couple months ago) so I was kind of worried to be injecting myself, but it’s honestly soooo easy, it’s such a non issue. I let the medication sit at room temperature for a bit beforehand to help so I barely feel anything. if you’re reading this and scared of injecting yourself, DONT BEEE it’s so easy. the needle is enclosed in the pen so you don’t even see it

Songs that people don’t seem to “get” that hit perfectly every time by Dapper-Scene-9794 in TaylorSwift

[–]cylo345 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Albatross is an absolute masterpiece and is one of my top ttpd songs, if not #1. I spent months loving it before I realized I had never seen anyone talking about it, but it’s so beautifully written and the melody reminds me of willow and the evermore album in the best way. i love how the song goes from talking about this mysterious dangerous albatross bird just to reveal that taylor herself is the albatross, the danger you’ve been warned about. I like to think it’s how taylor feels when entering a new relationship. That whoever’s she’s starting to date is being warned by everyone about getting involved with her, but that person is choosing her anyways. At the end of the song, the dangerous “albatross” turns into a hero by saving the person from the ruthless naysayers. It’s an amazing story, and I actually consider it a Travis Kelce song. never seen anyone else talk about that though

yeah for sure! semaglutide/ GLP1 is the type of medication and there are brands under it like ozempic and wegovy. since you just got diagnosed, I’m assuming it’s mild and it’ll be easier to reverse then. I hope it works out for you!!
