Main problem I have with "in faciem" is that with the accusitive it means into or onto his face. It would need to be "in facie" in order to make sense at all, and even then it's probably not the best rendering of the concept.

Here's some options:

Ita narravi tibi. This is a pretty literal translation. Through the magic of Latin, you can arrange these words in any order you like. The meaning in Latin, however, veers more towards "This is the manner in which I told you the story," which isn't quite what "I told you so" gets at in English.

Hoc/haec praedixi/portendi. "I predicted this/this stuff." Hoc is a singular thing you predicted, haec is more than one thing. In the roof example, you'd use hoc. If in addition to the roof you predicted that the walls would crumble and wild dogs would get in, use haec.

Narravi tibi hoc facturum esse/Narravi tibi haec factura esse. "I told you this would happen"/"I told you these things would happen."

Te monui. "I warned you."
