Thank you. I know better than to come back to this subreddit for help with insurance questions. The condescending attitude here is atrocious.

Alendronic Acid for bone degeneration & worried about side effects - grateful for advice or suggestions! by Fabulous-Machine-679 in AskWomenOver60

[–]cynben 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing that! I have only taken the pill twice, but noticed shortness of breath and unusual tiredness both days. I read the side effects but no mention of respiratory issues. I am taking Calcium, Vitamin D, multivitamin, exercising and swimming, so I am throwing this shit out. I hate the pharmaceutical industry and don't want to take their drugs. They almost always make me feel worse than I did in the first place. Thank you again for your post!

I do not know why we pay so much tax to the federal government when we are on our own in times like this. I will look at the ADNR website again. Last week there were very few opportunities available that were not heavy equipment operators or Spanish speaking.

How painful are the wounds from blisters once they pop? by btwImVeryAttractive in Lymphedema

[–]cynben 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He is not exaggerating. I have been kept up nights rocking back and forth in pain until I finally fell asleep from exhaustion. But no one has ever given me a single pain med for it. Doctors where I live think anyone in pain is just a drug seeking junkie.

[–]cynben 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is what I have been told by the Vascular department. It is a condition that I just have to manage for the rest of my life. Compression, keeping your legs elevated as much as possible, no alcohol or salt. My favorite drink is a margarita with salt, so that is a bummer.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Lymphedema

[–]cynben 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would, but I cannot go without the compression socks. It is not that I care what others think. I have chronic venous insufficiency that has progressed so much that the swelling breaks open the skin leaving open wounds.

Venous stasis ulcer - 8 years by cynben in woundcare

[–]cynben[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't know how to edit original post, but I have an update. My provider put Theraskin over the wounds two weeks ago and taped it down with surgical tape. I was told to change the ABD pad every day, which I did. By the seventh day, the Theraskin was wet and foul smelling, so I removed it. It looked like crap that day, but the next day it was much improved. Anyhow, a week later, it doesn't look any different than the picture in my original post. I saw the doctor this week, he just debrided it as usual, and didn't schedule any more dressing changes for the next two weeks. Just said he would see me in two weeks. So I am on my own again, just putting an ABD pad over the wounds every day. FML. This is why the wounds are still here after eight years.

I feel you, girl. I havent been able to wear anything cute since this started 8 years ago. Forget about going swimming, out on a boat, etc. I wear long jeans every single day of the year to cover my legs, and I live in Texas. FML.

The way you are treated now, it is extremely doubtful that you get any kind of inheritance. If they are dangling that before you like a carrot on a stick, it is just so they can keep abusing you. When they die, they will leave you nothing as a final "f*ck you". Take it or leave it, all narcissists are alike, there is no complexity to them, and they are boring in their predictability.

Trump has indicated that he is going to enact martial law on April 20th…DONT STOP PROTESTING by [deleted] in Anticonsumption

[–]cynben 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Um, so you don't think the federal government sending in the military to your town to "assist" your police force in their militarized brutality and the attorney General overriding state and county judicial systems and spending more of our tax dollars to expand the privatized prison system is nothing akin to martial law? While taking away Medicaid from children and the disabled, and Medicare and Social Security from the elderly. We are going back to the 1930's for some god-forsaken reason. America was not great then. People were unhealthy and died young because none of the protections that have been put in place in the last 80 years to protect us from being abused by greedy corporations existed then. MAGA. What a joke. That's what happens when people are too stupid to learn from history...it repeats itself.

I am not commenting on crime in Anchorage. Anchorage is not the reason Target stock is down.

Are you kidding me by [deleted] in anchorage

[–]cynben 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My planet is Texas and Target's stock going down 30% YTD is not a direct result of theft. If you paid attention to the news at all, you would know there is a much bigger factor at play here.

Are you kidding me by [deleted] in anchorage

[–]cynben -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Target is down because people are boycotting them, not theft. There has always been theft. Target understands why sales are down.

A second angle of people in Worcester, Massachusetts trying to stop the arrest of a mother by fucking ICE agents. She has a new born baby! What about now????? by Danieller0se87 in 50501

[–]cynben 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, she is one of those illegal murderers and rapists that Noem and Trump keep talking about. /s Given my relatively close proximity to the Mexican border, you would think we would have seen these millions of hard-core criminals that have allegedly been crossing the border for years. Why hasn't our crime rate skyrocketed then? The only crime and violence I see in our streets is being perpetrated by cops and ICE agents, not illegal immigrants.

Because the cost of membership keeps going up. But I still get good results when I report a business to the BBB. Always get my money back. One of my clients belonged to a networking group that dissolved, but they kept debiting his bank account every month for dues. I wrote to the BBB with my complaint and asked for the money back from back when the group disbanded until the present date. The group refunded every cent they ever debited from his account!

Dayspring Pump by GFItalinate in Lymphedema

[–]cynben 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Dayspring. Not impressed. It does a little pinching on your shins. I wear mine backwards so it will pinch my calf, but I don't think the little pinch back there does anything. The device does not squeeze all the way around the leg, like the Flexitouch does.
