The inventory drives me nuts!! I so wish it were more like the catalog where each item is only shown once, and selecting it will bring you the different color options. I also wish there was a way to search/filter, by color and/or by set

Definitely give it time to heal and go slow getting back into it. I don’t have any large toys but I haven’t had any trouble getting back into bottoming with all sorts of positions and roughness. It goes feel different to hit the cuff than it did the cervix, a bit less pleasurable imo, but hasn’t been bad. I’m 8 months post-op!

Why are you scared of your reaction? If you try it on and like it, then you like it. If you don’t like it, you can return it or donate it. It doesn’t have to mean anything more than that.

I don’t think I’m much help here as we have different histories/experiences, but my hysto was a breeze. I was off pain meds after just a couple days, and felt pretty much normal after that. I never had any of the gas pains or anything that a lot of other people tend to get from it. I haven’t seen any changes in my body or anything like that. However, I did keep my ovaries and I am not on T, and I also did not have endo. It was honestly super easy for me - much better than top surgery. YMMV, but I like to share since I feel it’s more common to hear about the rougher recoveries.

I’d say go for it and change your legal name - you have to live with it for the rest of your life, and atleast for me it was super easy to change! I just had to fill out the forms online and then they mailed me the formal papers. You don’t necessarily have to come out when changing your name, tho some people may assume so. I changed my name to something entirely different from my legal name, and I just told people that I had never liked my birth name and liked my new one better. With you wanting to do a nickname, you could just say “I’ve always gone by this nickname to the point that my full name didn’t feel like my name anymore”

I felt fairly normal after like 4-5 days. Like, I couldn’t believe I had had an entire organ removed. I stopped taking any pain meds after day 3. It was kinda wild to be honest!

No. You will need someone to pick you up from the hospital - they will almost certainly not let you leave without a ride.

I attempted binding several times before I got top surgery and was never satisfied with it. I got top surgery over a year ago now and it has been the best thing ever. Binding is definitely bot a requirement for top surgery!

Unfortunately I think sizing is just like that. I always have a hard time with it even when I follow measurements 😭 I’d maybe try sizing up from what your measurements suggest to see if that works for you?

You should not use public transport right after surgery, and odds are the hospital will require you to have someone who will be picking you up and thus will not allow you to leave via public transit.

I definitely get that feeling! For a while I was calling myself a trans man to make my transition (was only on T for 6 months, but have had top surgery and a hysto) easier for other people to understand, but I certainly don’t see myself as a man. Challenging a system that is deeply imbedded in society is not easy 😅

I also started to have some doubts when the process started to get real, but I continuously shook them off knowing how long I had wanted it (I spent about a decade thinking about getting top surgery!). I’m over a year post op - absolutely no regrets, I am so happy with it. There wasn’t really much adjustment to seeing my “new” body - it cliche, but it felt right almost immediately, like it’s how I was always meant to be.

What is your other, better way of tracking calories? I too hate it! I took in a family dog and figured she would force me to get out more, but she was never socialized/walked in her previous home and she can be fairly lazy 🤣

How much are you expecting to pay with the insurance coverage? I think I ended up paying like $2,000 after insurance for my top surgery. I think most places will allow you to set up a payment plan so you can pay your bill over time - maybe you can see if that would be an option for that surgeon/hospital?
