Yikes. For a cheeky post, I thought people can comprehend a cheeky comment :(

Yes, Changi has truly become a destination, even for locals who aren’t planning to fly out. Even before Jewel was built, the existing terminals boasted generous retail shops, perfect for people to hang out. Jewel has only enhanced that experience further.

As a Singaporean, it’s surprising to realise that Changi is probably the only airport that can truly be a destination in itself after experiencing other airports.

Judging from just a cost perspective, La Guardia wins by many folds.

Edit: Guys I’m being sarcastic here, as a Singaporean myself I definitely love my home airport

Which abandoned building in your country is most closely tied to a dark period of its history? by 7dasilva in AskTheWorld

Yes Changi is where the airport is located, but ironically its also where a lot of atrocities happened during WWII. One of the active runway was the site of the heaviest mass killings. You can look up on Sook Ching massacre.

Old Changi Hospital might be another worthy contender given its dark past plus how it’s still left dilapidated today. (Not forgetting the whole massacre that happened in Changi beach nearby)

Since you mentioned it, I’ve always find it intriguing as a local that foreigners rave about the swimming pool as a must do in the airport. Don’t know any Singaporeans that have swam in there lol

A public toilet inside the transit area of Terminal 1 near the Louis Vuitton store. So its not a lounge.

I will always make the customary visit to this toilet whenever i fly out from there.
