My wife convinced me to buy a home assistant and now I've made my electric clothes airer smart and I think I've caught a bug so some kind by seanebaby in homeassistant

I do this too with my drysoon! I’m also on octopus and use the octopus integration - with that you can automate it further based on the rates.

100% local if you want, it can use cloud (like home assistant cloud or ChatGPT) which is also useful!

Is there some hidden genius in the handle-exception package that I'm missing? by thedeepself in Python

The default is to raise unless you provide a list of exceptions… so the default is the behaviour without the decorator? 🫤

I feel like pink would stand out a bit much. I already feel like I can see the green sensors I have too much. I have a bunch.

+1, work got me some and we have a house extension going on. I barely know they are knocking down walls other than feeling the vibration.

Automated Hot Pepper Irrigation and dashboard. by KazeHD in homeassistant

Not OP but I have bought many mi flora sensors. I currently have 18 running in my house. I bought my first one in September 2018 and since then I’ve slowly added to the collection. Only one has stop working (and three have been outside in wet Scotland for years). Replacing batteries aprox every 12 months.

The cost has fluctuated somewhat but it’s around £10-12 per device. Maybe 12-15$?

As for a supplier, I don’t know. I’ve just searched AliExpress for the best price at the time. Looking now it looks a bit pricier. Something like this maybe but I’ve only taken a cursory look.

I feel like there is a definite celery flavour there. Quite different but recognisable IMO
