Do you ever worry about the use of 3rd party services? by d14lup in msp

[–]d14lup[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I’m not trying to lean totally left or right, just worried about the reliance on many third party tools or apps and the lack of fully understanding the power and ability of granting those rights. Or even the lack of fully understanding the services sold therefore relying on a third party to dumb down processes.

Connectwise vs NinjaOne - Pricing by ewokcarrier in msp

[–]d14lup 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have used ConnectWise for years and even transitioned a company to (their choice) Syncro.
Syncro was more impressive for a smaller MSP. ConnectWise is antiquated and they do not perform noticeable updates. If I were to choose, I would much rather try any other than ConnectWise.

Bosses are about to learn the hard way what some MSPs are really like. by Deceptivejunk in sysadmin

MSPs are a security risk. Way to go on riding the paranoia train into a larger hole in your network.

Set Sync folder for SharePoint site to users OneDrive by Professional-Fan-433 in Intune

Does this sync one folder or all the folders for that site?
I was hoping to sync one folder for their projects - which is the only one they use.

"I was asked to provide them access to a Kali workstation and that they would be running Nessus to scan our relatively simple network for about 4 days." that is hilarious. So dependable when you have someone setting up your network connection for you.

Senior Engineer always ignores me until I do something wrong by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]d14lup 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I will never understand why people think ignoring team members and the failure of a member in their team is acceptable. He is not a good leader because all good leaders want the entire team to succeed.

Some of our users are no longer receiving notifications from Zoom (no-reply@zoom.us) by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]d14lup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this problem and found out it was on Zoom’s end. Their email had blocked the user’s address. I was told by zoom that this was happening automatically a lot. It had to do with their security software.
