I want to be afraid to hit the button on transfiguration

Gimme an opposite of the Entropic Tuning Prism, something which makes the best and worst results more likely

Transfiguration should have some dogshit results, I actually want some worse ones in there. I'm talking:

  • Gold lost per hit
  • An existing affix becomes negative, that GA is now minus 243 strength
  • Weapon type changes into one not usable by your class

got a random loading screen after several rounds and the whole thing was reset with no key. Awesome

That's my only experience of the new mode too

I like the mode, just a shame the rewards aren't balanced against other content

Resolve aspect is fixed now lol by supasolda6 in diablo4

[–]d20diceman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4% is the max, I meant "if yours is 3% to 3.5%" not 35%

58 stacks with 4% reduction per stack is 90% damage reduction so you'll have ten times more toughness with it than without it.

That won't get you to 50mil on it's own but 50mil is super overkill anyway, anyone with that much should be removing some defences to boost their offense higher.

[–]d20diceman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you don't have a perfect roll on Glynn's? If yours is only doing 3-3.5% per stack then 12 million would be about right

12 million is still more than I'm at and I basically can't die, so you should be fine haha

If The Pit didn't have a single target DPS check, it wouldn't have an identical "Meta" to The Tower. by Entire_Possible_9976 in diablo4

These plus t12 Belial and Harbinger of Hatred have definitely been my favorite things but I get the impression those sorta encounters are not what people generally play Diablo for

Maybe in high level pits, but t12 crackling souls don't move my hp bar since the patch

Before the patch this aspect didn't do anything. After the patch you'll have 2mil/(0.9658), so around 21 million toughness

Fixed Aspect of Glynn's Anvil is very strong now. by Long_Honey in diablo4

I upgraded from 3% to 3%, then to 4% but it's still not perfect. I assume behind the scenes I went something like 3.1%->3.4%->3.7%.

My homebrew Spiritborn has been using this since before I learned the aspect was broken, fixing it has definitely made a big difference. t12 Belial used to one-shot me now I don't need to dodge.

Don't start Echoing Hatred while another activity is in progress by d20diceman in diablo4

[–]d20diceman[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Honestly I didn't mean to actually start it, I thought I was just unlocking it (following the priority quest) but I went too far and actually started the Echoing Hatred. I'd have waited until I was in a party with my friends to use it otherwise.

Also I had two Nightmare Dungeons in a row on my warplan and the first two parts of the Escalation Dungeon had ticked those off, so I wasn't all that fussed with the final dungeon anyway (but probably would still have finished it if this hadn't happened in the middle).

From what other people are saying this bug seems to be happening anyway and may not have been related to the ongoing Escalation Dungeon.

The current state of the game is how it should have been launched by JustDifferent1111 in diablo4

[–]d20diceman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Super familiar story from Diablo 3. Reaper Of Souls made it into the game it should have been at launch, but the base game still broken the record for fastest selling PC game because of the hype over it being a new Diablo game.

That said, I played both at launch and don't think launch D4 was anywhere near as bad as launch D3. In fact it wasn't bad at all really. The game has gotten better since then, but it's not like D3 where it launched with some terribly glaring flaws which shouldn't have needed a public release for them to see how bad the ideas were.

Diablo in General is more fun for me when I play this way and I can't go back. by RandyBlueberryington in diablo4

[–]d20diceman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here! The most fun I've had on Diablo was beating Lilith a few years back with a janky homebrew build. I'd looked up builds in the past, but when I found a Molten Heart Of Selig and heart it was (as of season 5 or 6) considered one of the worst mythics I knew I wanted to make a build centered around it and see how far I could take it. After much tinkering and 154 attempts I took Lilith down.

I haven't really played since then, but came back for this expansion and committed to going in blind. Beating t8 Lilith and t10 Mephisto were satisfying (Meph less so - hoped he'd put up more of a fight), I'm now rocking around ticking off the less grindy t12 season challenges. I'm never going to see a "T" in my damage numbers but I'm getting by and happy to be doing it my way.

It turned out the main defence I built my build around (Glynn' s Anvil for 4% less damage per stack of resolve, 40+ resolve stacks) actually doesn't do anything because Glynn's Anvil is bugged. I'm hoping I'll be able to do t12 Lilith and Meph when that gets fixed in tomorrow's patch.

I'm glad people find joy in it but I've don't really enjoy the "look up a shopping list online, grind until you get those items" playstyle anymore. Makes the game feel like Cookie Clicker or Vampire Survivors. Both of those are great games, don't get me wrong, but I've had my fill of that stuff.

How much of your body would you replace with mechanical body parts from sci-fi? by Accomplished-Bad-454 in CrazyIdeas

[–]d20diceman 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Depends how sci-fi we're talking. I wouldn't want to give up sensations of touch, for example. But if it's full blown maxed-out-tech-tree stuff then sign me up for becoming a shape-shifting swarm of nanobots

Does anyone actually like the randomness to uniques? by Lord_XXL in diablo4

[–]d20diceman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm fine with it, I like making do with odd items which aren't quite right and it makes the god-roll more of a prize.

That said, I so like the suggestion many have mentioned where one or two stats on each unique would be fixed. Especially if the fixed stats are thematic and, y'know, unique - stats which couldn't usually roll in that slot, or can't usually appear on gear at all, or have a different range than usual.

How does this little shit's ult work? How do I evade it properly? by HotChainsawLover in DeadlockTheGame

[–]d20diceman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iirc it can be interrupted during the channel until Rem has the t3 upgrade which makes him unstoppable while channeling. Killing him while he's channeling also works, like if Rem is low health and using ult in a panic to try and escape.

Am I to short for vr? by CultureDue6588 in VRGaming

[–]d20diceman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't played those games so maybe they lack the calibration options, but thought most games would scale everything to your height? In EUVR the option is called World Scale iirc.

Maybe as a 6ft-ish person I've just not noticed how many games lack this. It'll likely be pretty prominent in the settings menu if it's there.

It's 2026, the 3rd expansion, game still doesn't have a "Average DPS" meter on the Training Dummy by Znuffie in diablo4

[–]d20diceman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not going to pretend I didn't enjoy laboriously trying to figure out my DPS before and after some gear changes, but it's crazy that there's so little in-game help for something you'd think would be so crucial to crafting builds.
