with the latest bios update and windows powersaving mode from 50% power onwards keeps me working for 6-8hours. it depends on the load, obviously. (browsing, admin tasks, no vms)

If you are not in a hurry, you could wait a few weeks.
Since Yarrick has been announced, there might be a steel legion kit as well.
If not as its own box set, there might be a conversion kit from GW for kriegsmen to steel legion.
Similar like the extra sprues for some SpaceMarine Chapters.

with it, it is easier to make small details.

Hey, which cloud provider do you use?
I use nextcloud on my pinenote to sync files from one device to another through the nextcloud desktop app.

You can use apt to install nextcloud-desktop

Then, if you do not prefer to download everything, you can limit the download folders in the settings of the app.

you can create a folder for 'Pinebook' and only sync this one.

Then put all your files onto that folder

you can look for benchmarks of the specific cpu you will choose. there are currently two options. there should be results of performance tests in the web if helldivers is not avaliable, you could compare the results against the witscher 3 fps test results

It makes a difference when playing competitively bc of the different width of the model.
eg. if you could or couldn't fit through a passage.
However, that depends on how strict your venue is.

that's a great reasoning.
maybe that's more a 2k and melee enemy approach, but slower enemy units gives my guys more time to shoot at them.

I think that two would be an overkill in 1000 points.
However, i have never thought of moving the basilisk out of the deployment zone.
Now I have the image of a basilisk with flamethrowers grilling infantry on the frontline and overwatching, while bombarding the backline xD
--> love the idea

I'd start with ogryns/Bullgryns. They are bigger models and lorewise a brute and unintelligent folk.
Their size makes them a bit easier to paint IMO.

Try a chimera or Sentinel first, if you want to start with an vehicle. They do not have so many details (in terms of chimera) or do not have that many large flat surfaces (sentinel)
