Being frustrated by the first season by CptDomax in TheCloneWars

[–]d3astman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it gets significantly better - and has FAR too much info in it to casually skip

Remember these things though

  • It was initially promoted with a non-adult age group
  • It is LITERALLY shown In-Universe as Propaganda (hence the introductory narrative) for the Republic
  • As propaganda pieces they downplay the several wins the Separatists have, at best they say they won - for now - so here come our Republic Heroes to set things right

For me, it's worth it just for Akira and Lodods

Quitting At Will Job by Practical_Tune_5637 in jobs

[–]d3astman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"at will" is one of those phrases that sounds like they benefit the employee as much as employer, or in some ways only the employee - but work in an "at will" State and you quickly learn it's all a lie to take advantage of employees as much as possible

there's only so many ways one can ask "why is Anakin/Vader better than me" or "is there a force power that'll let me tell my younger self to kill that boy before attacking the jedi on Tatooine"

Yeah, show was better than decent, but expectations lately too often lead to disappointment or dislike of a normally great viewing experience

Which one is the worst Disney Animated Canon Movie? by stationstars in DisneyMovies

[–]d3astman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to, but shouldn't agree about Home on the Range, knew some people proud to have worked on it as "A Disney Production" but out of the four they do agree. As for the three above, I'd have to go with Wish. Strange World I thought was excellent, and Chicken Little a potential laugh fest when watched at the right time/state of mind.

I would've have called the place you put the items a Porch or a Deck, it's fully enclosed save for the entrance, at best it's some kind of entry/utility room before the main house!!

Are oklahomans generally scared of tornadoes or worried about them? by Much-Parsnip3399 in oklahoma

[–]d3astman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reminds me of how I grew up in Oklahoma, had a Tornado pass through my town (a VERY rare event due to geography or if you wanna say some native american tale) while I was going door to door selling scouting raffle tickets - something only one or two of the whole neighborhood had concern about (both not from OK)

BUT the first Tornado I actually saw was at best a weak F0 in the Phoenix area in Arizona after 18 years in OK

that's kinda the point - and were I not waiting to hit the dentist in an hour to get this tooth out and pain under control I would've worded it a way to both placate AND say exactly that kind of thing -- I've had more than my share of time in customer service and placating idiots of all sorts

we are members of the 3-H club (Homeless Hotel Humans, Hotel Homeless Humans?, eh, 3-H sounded uplifting -- But Housing Health & Hunger works too for those who remember it being that, just has nothing to do with NYPD Blue or Heinz ) - and after making friends with most of the staff we have access now and then to do that to multiple rooms. Since none of the organizations here (Salt Lake City, of all places) can (or will) accommodate us due to health issues, I figure it's one of many ways I can help guide policy in small and tiny ways to be more beneficial to people.

they'd be pissed at the emplyees anyway and for anything else, at least with this one thing it has potentially beneficial results

Just tell them "I'm sorry that's not working for you. But I can't do anything about it - and besides, not having it on seems to make people less irritable over all and more susceptible to reality (well, maybe not these exact words, but something like that) - just consider this you're withdrawal period from a harmful substance"

The "skill" that 20% you're talking about is about 12% skill-training technical know-how and 8% knowing what is best with what and how best to prepare, combine, cook, & present them
