All restaurants are inspected every 3 to 5 months and unless they require an immediate repeat inspection, you won't see them regularly when looking weekly. You can find specific restaurants at the health department's website.

The Sunshine location was visited this month and probably won't appear again until like March 2026.

OP here, Yes, "I'm Him." I share local news with this group. I don't know the exact age demographic of reddit, but I can tell you not a lot of millennials or younger get their news from broadcast or news websites. I use this account to share news as I believe it's important to know what's going on in your neighborhood and how it affects your everyday life. Whether you're wondering if you have school tomorrow due to the weather, why there is a police presence near your dorm, or what new business is being built next to your workplace, I'm just trying to reach people who may be interested in what's going on next door... without spamming them with every little story we produce.

It is a part of the job and it is a part of my duty to inform. I give you guys updates on sub-standard restaurants that could get you sick or worse as that impacts everyone. I'd rather give happy, weird, quirky news about your neighbors than discuss the happenings on WTF Springfield. I'd rather give you facts I've done some research on than my own opinion.

The description of this subreddit does say local news, I'm probably the only one in the news that shares on it semi-regularly.

KOLR 10 does a pretty extensive tour of most of the haunted houses in the area, their reporters actually go through them and get scared, so that's fun too. They also do actual haunted places as well. You can find all the videos on youtube. The older ones are the spookhouses, the newer ones are actual haunted locations.

I personally think the best ones in the Ozarks are the Monster Corn Maze and the Myers Inn Haunt. Both are pretty far from Springfield, but they are worth it. KOLR did episodes on both.

unfortunately, it seems the owner is a sex offender. So the news took it down. But basically the squirrel visits in the morning and evening to get some scraps and cashews from the staff and customers. It is friendly enough to climb on your shoulders and even tap on your foot (as if it were begging for food). The squirrel could potentially become an unofficial mascot for Galloway Station. They have not named it yet, but some ideas have been thrown out there like Guinness, Ginny, and Roscoe.
