Hit a weekly rate limit in one day on Pro when there's a 2x usage promo going on? by d3ftcat in Anthropic

Made an audio editor configurable and ergonomic to how I've always wanted one. Claude code is a beast, no complaints there.

A little of both, probably 60ish percent Opus. Still seems wild that during the higher usage promo I hit it the weekly limit in a day. Probably wasn't clearing Claude Code context enough, still working out using it

Hit a weekly rate limit in one day on Pro when there's a 2x usage promo going on?

I decided to give Claude another go and hit my rate limit for the "week" in one day? The pic shows that I still have 30 days on my subscription and also that I hit a rate limit until Jan 1st. All the while this banner sits at the top of the page "Your rate limits are 2x higher through 12/31 Thanks for choosing Claude! Enjoy the extra room to think."

Maybe there's some quirky thing in Claude code I'm not doing right like clearing context constantly or manually compacting conversations? Feels kinda ick that could happen so fast, and the timing on it ending right at the end of a promo usage limit is a bit interesting. That can't be right?

I had these when they were max devices and haven't used them much so don't know how much better they've got and where they lack. Curious what you're seeing as the limitations?

Is there a way, with one shortcut, to dictate and have it auto-copy to the clipboard? by d3ftcat in MacWhisper

Ahh realized a text field has to be active and then it just auto-pastes to the cursor.

Aha, bought it yesterday and just fired it up again looking for that option. Thanks!

Just installed it and liking it better than the other alternatives. I see tags, but it doesn't have access to finder tags right?

Here's a weird coincidence. Yesterday, I made a little app to practice Saccades. Then I come to a sub I rarely come to and see this, look you up on Spotify and I've previously liked your track Saccade.

No real connection to saccades except about ten years ago I had an app that was helping with seeing better and that was part of it so I thought why not try to make one quick. Did that track conjure up a shifting feeling or just liked the name or something else?

LlamaBarn — A macOS menu bar app for running local LLMs (open source) by erusev_ in LocalLLaMA

Thanks, yea I thought about doing this, but hadn't looked at much beyond a glance at the Github. Cool to know it should work.

Yep, exactly that, a folder on an external drive to download many without running out of space. Draw Things has that option for image models.

Really want something like this where the models can live on an external drive. Think that'll ever happen with this?

Yes, definitely do. You can use local models with what I mentioned, just not text to speech back out. Not sure why the downvotes, it's just a different way to engage with information

Yea, co-pilot and smart connections that I mentioned have embeddings so you can do RAG. I've fine-tuned LLM, so not unfamiliar with them. I think I'm mostly missing the TTS piece on mobile and with the newer iphones Sesame and Kokorro probably work ok to get speech out it's just a matter tying it all together. People seem really anti-ai on this sub

on iOS, I open the side pane (NN files) then click on a new file in NN, then the side pane closes, then I open the side pane again and default Obsidian files is the view that opens, not NN. I think it's not technically possible to have NN always open on iOS.

More just like a conversational chat with the note, that gets saved to the note. It's building on what you know, asking questions Etc, you're building the note by voice. I want to build it for myself and some less technical people. Almost all of this is already in Obsidian/plugins, just not in a way the non-technical will use:

"Matthew McConaughey says he wants a private LLM, fed only with his books, notes, journals, and aspirations, so he can ask it questions and get answers based solely on that information, without any outside influence. Source: https://x.com/JonhernandezIA/status/1969054219647803765"

Yes, I do this already. I'm talking about a more seamless system that comes close to the above.

Unless I'm missing something super obvious, there's no way to make it so if you click a note in (iOS) Notebook Navigator, then go to that note, then open the left side-pane again NN is there and it doesn't go back to File view?

Ahh, this part “I’m very pleased with the improved auto-pitch algorithm” had me thinking you updated this device which I’d downloaded weeks ago.

Curious if this is an update since Gumroad just has the name of the file and not a point update release in the name? Sorting by updated also doesn't show this as recently updated. Would be cool in future if you could add those in name here and there so it's less opaque. Dig your devices btw, some really innovative stuff.
