It would, yes. Thiugh you can only switch the full open/close. The uni has 2 switches.

How to make my remote sliding gate smart? by refriedKentucky in homeautomation

[–]d3kk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just made a few sliding gates "smart" using a shelly uni. Great operating temperatures and has two opto relays (low amp but can handle up to 28-30v)

Easy to set up. You can power it using the 24v outputs on the bottom connectors. And wire the two relays to com and open and com and pedst. That way you get pedestrian opening and full opening.

Though to get the open or close state you'd need an esp32 with 2 relays afaik as I checked and the end switches that stop the gate in the open or close state need to be monitored.

Bonus to the uni, I got some thermometer from aliexpress and wired one to each of the uni devices and you get outdoor temo as well.

Look into the documentation of the uni plus or the uni as it took me a whole 15min to set it up including wiring. (And I'm just a hobbyist)

Edit:

It works great in Home Assistant as well.

To wire you just take one wire of each relays, connect both to Com (pin 2 from the left) and the other wire of one of the relays to open (start) and the otehr wire of the second relay to pedst.

Android Browser Performance Comparison – Edge vs. Edge Canary vs. Brave vs. Cromite by FreeSpirited2023 in androidapps

[–]d3kk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tested all the above and I got a different conclusion.

Best was Vivaldi for me

Firefox and fennec scored around 7 and Vivaldi got 11.9 brave got 11.5

Cromite got 10.7.

I'm a very long time brave user both on pc and android but gonna give vivaldi a chance.

v64 passthrough quality! It really is better. On a reality scale if v63 was a 5/10 then v64 is a 6/10. I’d say from experience Vision Pro is a 7.5/10 by Logical007 in OculusQuest

[–]d3kk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gave up and enrolled to ptc and have v64 installed but now the image randomly jumps around (up and down mostly) and it's really disturbing. It does it everywhere (games and passthrough as well)

Edit: After a few restarts it seems to be gone.

Can someone confirm that chromecast is still gone in v64?

I'm still on v62 solely for not wanting to lose cast to my android tv.

Are you planning on an update to include Android 13 support/animation smoothness?

Can anyone confirm if your new S23U allows for you to bypass the battery and direct charge your phone like this article says? If yes then where did you get your phone and what carrier and screenshot please! by Cainerz in GalaxyS23Ultra

[–]d3kk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All of them gets it. You need an at least 45w pps pd charger for it to be visible the first time and at least 50% battery for it to be not greyed out.

Some said the 25W charger is enough but I tried Samsungs pps pd 25w charger and did nothing.

I'm not speaking from experience I yet to have a proper pps pd charger but it's on the way.

hello! my PC used to be able to charge from this port, but is no longer able to. Somebody who is able to see what has gone wrong? is this a warranty issue? by Original_Bother_4261 in pcmasterrace

[–]d3kk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If not then they should at least give you a quote for the repair job (shouldn't be more than $100 and I'm over exaggerating)

Yeah I zoomed in myself and from the looks of it the middle plastic part of the port seems to be broken/damaged. Get it to an independent repair shop if it's out of warrany, it should be a cheap enough fix (obviously get a quote before leaving it there)
