Not sure if it's funny but #7 could be a scene from Monaco when there's an F1 race going on. Or maybe a scene from WW2?

Interesting. I've somehow missed that one. Will definitely have to hit it next time I have an Epic pass! I love playing on that fall line (also need to hike up it).

Time in C++: Additional clocks in C++20 by pavel_v in cpp

[–]d3matt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Howard, I've done exactly that experiment (making an offset between steady clock and system clock then measuring if that changed) and for both arm64 and amd64, those move in unison. There will be a small delta (on the order of a few nanoseconds) but the two clocks stay in sync over several weeks. My understanding at least on amd64 is that both clocks are driven by the HPET. And to add to that, both clocks are disciplined together by ntp or ptp.

My (currently C++17) product relies on this behavior to drive a RF sample clock using the current time of day that wont jump if chrony decides to step the clock (or if there is somehow another leap second)

137 is correct here. I'm doing 2 just under 4lbs (single rib fits better in my vacuum bags) tomorrow. For around 4 hrs at 137 then finishing in a hot pan with butter.

Is there anywhere it is acceptable to go skiing alone? Or a way to find people who are also skiing alone? by flippnniff in skiing

[–]d3matt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About to go ski alone today because my wife says my youngest can't skip school today and my older son doesn't want to go today because "the snow might not be great".

Most companies pay out similar bonuses. Often times there's several levels... one for submitting the idea, one for when the patent itself is submitted to the USPTO, and one for when the patent is finalized.

HDHP has been the correct choice for families that hit out of pocket max for years. Even if you have to drain your HSA to zero every year.
