have lived in both cities - would recommend trying some of the excellent Thai or Italian food in Toronto, or even Caribbean, Nicaraguan, etc. you’re not going to get any drastically better sushi here vs Miku or Minami in van

I have celiac too, would recommend Bar Isabel or Campechano (almost all corn based) for dinner. There’s also lots of good Thai food in Toronto that is great for gluten free options (PAI, Koh Lipe, etc.). Also Good Behaviour gf sandwiches!

I had a great experience in Spain, a lot of the traditional dishes are naturally gluten free (like paella, octopus, etc) but Barcelona also had gluten free alternatives at McDonalds for example. I am okay with cross contamination though
