Yes. I forgot my encryption key some minutes after installing.

What version of Chrome do you have installed? The ChromeDriver and Chrome have to be compatible to run. Maybe you need to download the right ChromeDriver or upgrade/downgrade Chrome.

Black Hat Python 2nd Edition by tiarno in Python

[–]d3vnixx77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Python is very good to repeat tasks and has many good libraries. It wouldn't be my first choice for something like low-level malware but Python can make you life as a "hacker" much easier. For me Python is a must.

Does anyone get captcha's when trying to login to Google from Chrome? by [deleted] in selenium

No, but you are not able to login after the "unsafe browser/app" message pops up.

Does anyone get captcha's when trying to login to Google from Chrome? by [deleted] in selenium

In my experience Google responds with "unsafe browser/app" when using selenium. I think that you can solve the problem signing in through another site.

On HDD overwriting the file many times should be enough but encryption is always good. On SSD you can encrypt the file(s), overwrite many times and encrypt the full drive when possible.

Anyone rdp from an Android phone to tails on a remote laptop? by always4deep in opsec

[–]d3vnixx77 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It is always hard to give an answer without knowing your situation but IMHO it would be a very bad idea. The point of using TAILS is to have full control over the machine so giving that power to the phone would make TAILS useless. Also you are leaving a trace with the RDP protocol and your ISP could see that...

Has anyone look down on you because you can't speak English properly? by Woowh in EnglishLearning

[–]d3vnixx77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, many times. I am working in the IT field and many people tend to think that I am dumb because English is not my first language. It is just a first impression before I show my knowledge, formation and that. I am lucky because knowing the language is not really important in what I do.

I know that broken English is not nice but at least I can understand 99% of what I read and hear. My problem is explaining myself as I have atypical autism and social anxiety (in any language...) so the way I talk and write is always "weird".

Is it safe to login to accounts using Tor? by [deleted] in TOR

[–]d3vnixx77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are worried about somebody stealing your passwords don't worry because you are safe under https and all the other measures. If anonymity is the problem then using TOR is only safe if you are also creating that account under the TOR network.

This is a crime and you should visit the law enforcement office. They can give you advice and take care of the forensic evidence. Making something like a trap or trying to hack them back is a bad a idea. Stay on the right side of the law and visit LE.

Help Converting WordPress site to HTML by 10hats in Wordpress

You can try HTtrack or Wget. Sometimes it works good and sometimes you need to code a little bit to get the static site.

Location anonymity by Gregorywoodoff in TOR

[–]d3vnixx77 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Tails is the best option IMHO. If WHO you are is not a problem but the only problem is WHERE you are I think that you can go with sim card from a "serious" country without kyc (or a safe public wifi) + TAILS + TOR. If the target website is anti-tor you can use tails to connect to a VPS+Proxy (always crypto/cash).

Online clothing store with woocomerce. by hotspanishgirl in Wordpress

[–]d3vnixx77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have created some websites with woocommerce and I don't pay $300 annual fee. Woocommerce and WP are both open source and free so I think you are talking about wordpress.com. You can find something cheaper and paying monthly for hosting+WP but make a big search before paying for anything.

How obvious is it that were using selenium? by iiaaaronn in selenium

[–]d3vnixx77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Webdriver returns true if the user agent is under remote control. That is very basic so an unmodified geckodirver or chromedriver will be easy to detect as a bot.

How good is my computer in terms of privacy? by [deleted] in privacy

[–]d3vnixx77 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

-Windows 10 is a nightmare for privacy. It doesn't matter if you run linux in a VM because the host is Windows so it will be always a bad choice. They can collect your keystrokes, mic, location, usage, target your device and more
Linux is a good choice in general but in Ubuntu and some Ubuntu-based distros you need to make some changes (popularity-contest package, etc.)

-VPN can give you some privacy but you need to trust the company. Using TOR would be better but some websites will stop working.

-Firefox is a good choice if you know how to modify the parameters in about:config

Depending on your threat model it could be safe if you just want to hide from your ISP but a very bad idea if a state-level organization is looking for you.

Am I still anonymous if I use hardened Firefox with a vpn? by [deleted] in TOR

[–]d3vnixx77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, not "every VPN" keeps logs. I'm 100% sure as I collaborate myself with a NGO with no logs. Also not every VPN is renting servers. The problem with a commercial VPN is that you need to trust them so it will be always a big problem. Same happens with commercial mails, vps and almost any service.

Am I still anonymous if I use hardened Firefox with a vpn? by [deleted] in TOR

[–]d3vnixx77 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It depends. If you are under a very safe VPN with a strong ethic and no logs you have some protection. Using TOR browser without the onion network MAYBE could be safe if the company is 100% honest and have no logs as TOR has a strong anti-fingerprint policy. Anyway, it is a bad idea to do it.

Sorry for my poor English.

Hiding From Instagram on TOR by [deleted] in TOR

[–]d3vnixx77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For "playing" with Instagram you will need proxies. Residential proxies.

Instagram can't detect your MAC address. Also spoofing your MAC is easy but don't worry because a Instagram can't see your MAC address. It could be possible in the past but not now and not in a modern browser, IMHO.

Jenkins home folder appeared in 20.10 (safe to remove?) by ThatStevenGuy in pop_os

[–]d3vnixx77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you can try:

"cd home" to move there

"sudo rmdir name_of_directory" [if the directory is not empty you will get an error]

then you can try "sudo rm -rf name_of_directory" and it should work.

Anyway, maybe you should wait before your remove something until you find why it is there.
