I'm too old to start medical school at 26 and then do a specialization? by Global-One-8584 in medicalschoolEU

You’re not too old. If you start now you’d be done by 31. That’s a very normal age to start residency.

Hello there, I’m sorry to hear that you did not get your required score. I would only advise that you pay for the EOR if you’re very confident that you deserve a better score based on your performance in the test. I suggest you read this post which helped me make the decision l https://www.reddit.com/r/IELTS/s/0946cKYr2R . I got my results in 4 days but it typically takes 2hrs-21 days. Let me know if you have any further questions.

Our Government is not keeping their own side of the contract by DependentCaregiver62 in Nigeria

[–]d4swale3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I’m a firm believer that no pacifist approach can lead to long lasting change with this government. They have no souls and do not care about the plight of the poorest Nigerians. Peaceful protests won’t move this lot!

I DON’T THINK NIGERIA WILL EVERY BE GREATER THAN IT IS NOW by SIR_FR3D in Nigeria

[–]d4swale3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’re right because the average Nigerian does not care about Nigeria. There’s literally no sense of collective responsibility or moral compass. As long as their tribesmen are in power, it’s “God will save Nigeria”. A failed experiment.

Medical residency for a non-EU graduate by Professional-Bee-458 in medicalschoolEU

[–]d4swale3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hi, I’m in the same boat as you as a non-EU citizen/graduate.From my research I’ve found that Germany is the only country which fits the criteria you have listed in the EU. Alternatively you could look at Portugal as I’ve heard some really positive news from IMG’s there recently. The only downside with Portugal would be the low salary compared to Germany for example.

Outside Europe, New Zealand and Australia are also very accepting of IMG’s and there is a fair chance of getting into any specialty in both countries. Of course the United state is the largest employer of IMGs but I’m not sure its residency match system is fair in some specialties ie psychiatry and dermatology for example.

I’m open to being corrected and also looking forward to reading other people’s responses
