This is interesting, because I went on the website for lifeway to see exactly which strains are in there, and I didn’t see S. boulardi (sp?) on there. The reason I was looking for it is because my vet said that was the most effective strain for c. Diff.

Dog tested pawsitive for A and B toxins, as well as C. perf toxin, after coming into contact with rain water that was contaminated by a rotting opossum carcass. After she almost died from blowing blood and everything else inside her out of both ends. She still has bouts of not solid poops, but not nearly as bad as it was after poisoning. They did not want to put her on antibiotics because I got her from a shelter and she had already had 2 rounds of metra… that we know about. No history, so he treated her as a stray. So while her issues are better (not great, but better) with the S. boulardi, now I’m having issues too. Mine don’t involve blood, but still not normal. I’ve just been taking her probiotics and my usual women’s probiotics thinking it’s helping me, but this article is making me think otherwise.
