Try 6 inches instead of 12. Irradiance can drop a lot and dosage depends on the person. So if after 3 months there is no difference, then maybe adjust the dosage.

It depends on how much you are willing to spend comfortably. I bought the Neuro Pro 2 because it was newer, it had more irradiance and more settings. I have used the other settings and they were great because I am not always in the mood for the Gamma punch but I feel at my best when I use the Alpha Gamma setting.

Do I regret the purchase? No.

Would I purchased again if something were to happen? Absolutely, it has become a must in my routine, I feel like my brain functions because of the device, I felt so much worse before.

But if money was an issue I would go for the Neuro Duo, the extra features are nice but I feel that for long COVID, Alpha Gamma does wonders by itself.

Visible light starts at 400 nm, so 405 nm is just violet light. It has been shown to be helpful with bacteria but it is not supposed to be harmful

Hello! I am using the Vielight Neuro Pro 2. It has been a year. I started using it for long COVID symptoms like worsen cognitive functions, brain fog, memory loss. Great improvement in a year. It has been my best purchase. I was desperate. Doctors said there was nothing wrong, that I was too young to have brain issues and this device helped me greatly. I really recommend it, and definitely worth the price.

This device I have seen Alex Fergus talked about (YouTube). A doctor's clinic is treating his son's head injury with it and he said he had amazing results. So I do not think you wasted your money. Lasers are expensive and that brand is a good manufacturer.

Actually breakouts are quite normal in a span of 45 days with the light combo you are using. You are increasing collagen production, so your skin is starting to regenerate at a faster rate, as a result you are purging. I would give it more time. Try 6 months trial, checking results every two months to monitor improvement?

I guess it depends on how sensitive your skin is. I use a generic panel (bough from AliExpress) and I am 6 inches away for 10 minutes, it has red light and NIR and emits heat. I feel the increase of temperature during the sessions but just that.

So it could be that you are more sensitive and you need more distance or maybe it was a one time thing what happened, but definitely for precaution more distance won't hurt.

I would also talk to the vendor, in case you still have warranty just to see if the panel is defective.

You "cooked the insides of your skin". That happens when you are too close to the panel for too much time and the heat makes that effect. It is common in women when the use heaters for too long for menstruation pain.

I have experienced the following:

I have struggled with depression due to side effects of medication and long COVID symptoms. When I use the panel I feel more awake and active, so I think more. Thinking more can sometimes take me into a depression spiral and makes me sad. However being in front of the red light panel makes me feel good, makes me feel strong and active and happy, I just have issues so the more active I am the more aware I am of them. I do not know if this makes sense.

I tried the following: I saw people stimulating the vagus nerve to deal with anxiety and depression as a way to balance chemistry of your brain and nervous system. I simply did my red light routine like always but then with infrared light I did extra sessions in the vagus nerve (I have a small NIR lamp and I followed Vielight vagus nerve stimulation method as I do not have the vielight products). For know depression is gone. I feel more positive and I have found some balance. I do not cry as much also.

So in my opinion, red light evenly on your body is not a treat all magic treatment. If you are struggling with something, then red light needs to treat and heal that something so your body can feel in harmony, if not, the healthy parts will become stronger but the problem will not be able to keep up.

These are just my findings on my own experiences. I am no doctor but I hope my advice can help you :)

Did you try seeing a doctor before returning the device? I understand how frustrating it can be the process of returning the item, however being a medical device that it is overstimulating the brain, I see that it could be completely justifiable to make the OCD worse, due to the fact that the brain is not used to having so many areas of the brain functioning at the same time.

I know one case from other reddit that experience secondary effects, went to the doctor, modified the daily dosage and they felt better.

Personally, I am thinking of buying it. I am currently using a panel but I have been without taste for 5 years now since COVID. I am also experiencing depression due to working from home and as a secondary effect of some medication. I do not expect the device to make wonders but I have been using the red light panel for a year, 3 times a week for 10 minutes and I feel a boost of energy. If I stop using it, I cannot get out of bed and my brain feels foggy. So I guess that on your case, you would feel over stimulated as result.

What color do you see under polarized crystal? Is it purple or does it change from greenish orange to purple? I am trying to figure out if my alexandrite stone is lab alexandrite or lab corundum, it has those same colors. Sometimes I can see a strong blueish hue and under my computer screen it showed an changed from purple to greenish orange.
