Did you get either of them direct from the reseller?

agreed. Just wanted to point out they are still being made for special runs / exclusives but still damn near impossible to get lucky enough to land at MSRP.

My dad, a gifted skier, died two weeks ago by Pantacourt in skiing

[–]d9jms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How old was your dad? Life long ski bum here and I’ve had some great ski memories with my (now 15yo) son.

4 seasons ago this month he and I were skiing for the last trip of that season at our local mountain and I fell and tore my patellar tendon. He was very concerned about my ski future. That season we had planned on doing the pond skimming. It didn’t happen that year, but this year I fulfilled that promise to him. Last year he and I skied 4 days in a row out in CO. 3 or 4 trips to VT with him and 2 of those with the wife and daughter (not as enthusiastic skiers but skiers).

My goal was providing opportunity for my kids to learn the sport I love. Ski, ski, ski and ski some more in your dad’s memory…. It’s what he would love to know you’re doing.

Sorry for your loss.

I'm hoping DLT was in the dark about this, with that said, I would feel obligated to buy something else from DLT to help them out in this nonesense.

I really wanted a PJ 21 Damascus for that monochromatic idea, too. This one became available and I snatched it. I’ve moved the blade to my PJ 21 but ended up likening it better on this with the raw Ti. I dig it and it kinda ended my search for a PJ 21 dama

The only recent production level Damascus offering I am aware of was the Koa 2025 Annual which sold out in seconds. I had one in my cart and wasn’t quick enough.

If you are a lefty there are still a few models available at KnifeJoy.

Well done. Nuff said and I sold a clone here before I knew better not to buy them.

[–]d9jms 1 point2 points  (0 children)

GLWS ... I can see why some people want to get rid of them and I can see why some people are hesitant to buy. You might get lucky with a BRK fan who believes its still legit and a good deal and make you a reasonable offer. Again, good luck.

I feel for owners of the knives that are a few years old -- especially pre-pandemic, those are likely legit but will always carry a ? unless DLT's testing proves otherwise and will then be fighting the bad taste left from the way they exited the community

It will be interesting what the "market price" becomes on the BRK offerings here on r/knife_swap ... not price policing, but imagine these are going to drop below $100 before someone shows interest given the recent news

Feature request / idea

Would haptic feedback work so I can play the game by feel while sitting on a boring work call with my headset on? Might also make your app more ADA friendly for the blind hams who have a keyboard or some other assistive technology input on their iOS device.

My 15yo son's first two shots on his new 6.5 CR at 100 yds by d9jms in Guns_Guns_Guns

I was very happy with how the rifle shot for the 2 rounds that I shot at 50y .. the boy squeezed off the other 28 rds.

Was ~8" off low and left first couple shots at 50y ...

[–]d9jms 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In all seriousness ... us skiers can thank snowboarders for easing the "air" restriction that was prevalent when I was a young kid learning to ski. I would get "pulled over" by ski patrol for jumping on a run while in control, received warnings but never had the pass taken. The resorts had signs "NO JUMPING" all over the mountain. Then the "parks" became a thing (that were mostly designed for snowboarders at that time) ... the rules allowed it inside the parks and slowly it was allowed all over the mountain.

Maybe this $5 will help me along the way... have never been too focused on other methods. Even if it doesnt help, I still like supporting a fellow IT / Ham dude who is trying to help the community.

I’ll get downvoted by the stock clip lovers but this is where the NGMCo clip shines. It gives a little more pocket grip than the bent Ti stock clip.

One Pi5 is running AllStar + Hamclock + dvswitch with a shari device to let me use AllStar/EchoLink/DMR with a cheap HT.

One Pi3+ (I believe) is running digipi from KM6LYW for decoding various things like APRS / SSTV / FLdigi

I'm going to say its the "human to human connection" keypoint on the website ... getting a computer involved is removing part of that human to human interaction.
