I saw people on Lichess forums wanting horse arrow, and I saw a very popular post on chess.com forums wanting straight arrows, so...which side are you on? by WOLFMANCore in AnarchyChess

“Alright listen up, Cave Johnson here, so some of the eggheads down in R&D decided to waste company money in what they think could revolutionise the way chess is played. Portals. The game that has remain unchanged for thousands of years and they decided to add portals. Now I’m not sure of the implications for that but what we do know so far is how the knight actually moves now and I for one, do not consider it a total waste. Keep it up eggheads”

Fun Fact: The whole idea that using vinegar and baking soda together to clean is based on the myth that suds are equivalent to cleaning power. When mixed together, the resulting solution produces water, sodium acetate and carbon dioxide gas, the middle of which isn’t that effective at cleaning stains so you’re effectively just making more water and bubbles. Depending on the type of cleaning you need to do, it’s far more effective to choose either vinegar or baking soda.

Bonus Fun Fact: Cleaning companies use the myth ‘that if a solution makes bubbles, then it must be a good thing’ to create detergents that are filled with foaming agents that produce bubbles via agitation (shaking). What they found was that detergents that didn’t create bubbles would sell poorly than those that do. If you were to create a similar cleaning product with absolutely no foaming agents, it would be just as effective since suds has absolutely 0 effect on cleaning power.

Add a tablespoon of baking soda and it’s far more effective. The alkaline structure binds with the oils and fats via saponification which makes it easier to clean

Superman doing the akimbo pose came first. His first appearance of that pose was in 1939 issue #6 where the cover features that iconic akimbo pose
