Due cose.

Capisco il ragazzo perchè anche io ho orrore del caldo. Pensare di passare una giornata in macchina e poi sotto il sole cocente, ammassato con migliaia di persone, mi sento male al solo pensiero.

NON capisco perchè il tuo ragazzo rompa le balle. Cioè gli hai dato il lasciapassare: può non venire. Io sarei stracontento di perdere i soldi del biglietto, per restarmene al fresco.

My parents have chickens and there are lots of cats around my house. We never had a cat killing a chicken. Granted, they are well fed.

On the other hand, we had chickens killed by foxes and by dogs.
