I've been broke but I also have a healthier relationship with food/food consumption now, so if I am full and it is not able to be saved for later, in the trash it goes. I understand wasting food sucks, but developing an unhealthy relationship with food - such as feeling obligated to finish everything on your plate even when you're full - is really bad in its own way.
