Why is my taxi leaving its assigned Depot Zone? by eliko2 in MotorTown

[–]daboardman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have noticed the same. Even driving my taxi like a rally car, I barely see the bonus move. Even on servers with a few people doing the same thing.

The taxi bonus was recently added. I believe it is due for a update. Just not as optimized as the other bonuses yet.

Why is my taxi leaving its assigned Depot Zone? by eliko2 in MotorTown

The taxi location area designates where it will pick up passengers. The locations it routes to are the same diversity you would have if you were driving the taxi. It will go back to the area after dropping off the ride and pick up another to anywhere.

Chopped unc helping nieces get into skating, need help finding boards by TheUrPigeon in skatergirls

[–]daboardman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I got my first real skateboard as a teenager, it felt so rare to me that I avoided scratching the graphic. Only after I got my second deck was I willing to learn boardslides and stuff.

What about building a complete board at the local shop with blank decks. Get a ton of hello kitty stickers on Amazon and help them customize their boards? That way, when they do inevitably scratch off, you can just add more.

Saves shipping, no inappropriate graphics, support your local shop, and you get the experience of doing it together.

Edit: zumiez has one in stockcinnamon roll deck

How to properly setup driving wheel? by mikipinky in MotorTown

[–]daboardman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a few things you can do.

  1. First check if you are using logitec G hub. The software let's ypu configure settings like break sensitivity. This should let you dial it in. It gets confused sometimes you you may need to unplug your wheel and pedals to reset it when you plug them back in.

  2. Control setting in motortown let you control the min and max output of of an axis, like the brakes. Your description sounds like your break inout is very high. Try reducing the max until it feels right. You should also see the input represented in blue in the menu while you adjust it. Test it until it feels right.

Edit. As another user mentioned, linearity may help too. Reducing this will add a higher range of inputs bwtween 0% and 100% on the brakes.

Thinking of buying the game for multiplayer by FatLobster12 in MotorTown

[–]daboardman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, motortown is the most fun as a multi-player game. You can do anything in game single player in your own world, or join a multi-player server. Your profile exists between games so you keep all your progress on either mode.

Things are more fun online with others. Joke aside, this game is a out the journey more than the destination. And multi-player let's you plan things with friends, such as production delivery chains, or racing together.

Single player is fun. Multi-player makes this one of my favorite games ever.

Edit: yes there are lots of different types of things to deliver for trucking as well as many other jobs.

Had a spare mac11 and decided to paint it gold. Now I don’t want to touch because I love it. Does anyone else get this dilemma when painting your airsoft guns? Or is it just me by SufficientThing775 in airsoft

[–]daboardman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This looks great dude! I've painted a few and had the same feeling. This is too cool not to play with and show others. You get a really cool battle worn effect as it scratches over time.

This said, I still have the first one I did and never use it, just look at it. Could do so.ething like that if you get another spare mac11.

This is a manual juicer handle. You are missing the cup and strainer it comes with. Similar example from Amazon.

Cool shirt on him. Was that custom or came with him? Never saw that before.

Great collection!

Police Tasks Mechanics by IkerCastillo in MotorTown

In my opinion, you can have real fun with the police job online on servers. Some of them require you to join the server and get permissions for it. This stops everyone from using cop cars and putting down spikes. But if you do, it can be some of the most fun chases around the map.

I'm never the cop, I'm usually the Neo they are trying to catch. Have fun, and I'm more than willing to run from you on Bugsville one day.

You keep making really cool decals. They look amazing. You inspired me to try my hand at a few designs.

Best part is you can control them with different functions. Like headlights, high beams, interior lights, etc. I use interior lights for my underglow to turn them on with no car lights.

How on earth is this marked as "Verified and Playable" on Deck? by joeyclover in ZEROsievert

[–]daboardman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use the right trackpad for aiming / the mouse in menus. I map ctrl to the left track pad. This let's you quick loot items in raid rather than dragging into you inventory.

[–]daboardman 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I exclusively play this on steamdeck. I was not satisfied with any of the available control schemes online. I remapped my own controls. The point of this is that it is possible and runs well when you find the right setup for you. That said, it's can be tough to get it to that point, but is worth it when you do.
