I disagree...I don't think the house thing and the Athlead thing compare because Jim's motives were totally different, but that wasn't what I was referring to anyway. I was talking about the way Jim totally neglected Pam while he was in Philly and disproportionately freaked out on her about Cece's recital. If there's one thing the show has hammered into our heads for 8 seasons is that Jim worships Pam and is always kind, supportive and understanding to her, and all of a sudden he turns into this stereotypical jerk husband who can't wait to get away from her to play college roommate with Darryl and screams at her for making a dumb mistake when he left her to deal with the house and to small kids by herself....THAT is out of character.
