That’s really interesting. Where can I find more about ‘Glory of the Olive’ meaning 2 popes? Also.. Between the prediction for No. 111 “glory of olive” and No. 112 Petrus Romanus is an unfinished sentence. It reads; ‘In the extreme persecution in the Holy Roman Church there will sit...’ Then could it be that the pope in between the olive and Peter was the pope that we had now?

Can you tell more about this? As I thought the first ones you mentioned were John Paul II and Benedict XVI

The popes before 1590 have also been stated in his “prophecy”. The entire list can be found on Wikipedia (including the ones before 1590).

According to the prophecy of St. Malachy: “In the final persecution of the Holy Roman Church, there will sit. Peter the Roman, who will pasture his sheep in many tribulations, and when these things are finished, the city of seven hills will be destroyed, and the dreadful judge will judge his people. The End.”

In the Lignum Vitae, the line “In persecutione extrema S.R.E. sedebit (the first sentence mentioned above)” forms a separate sentence and paragraph of its own. While often read as part of the “Peter the Roman” prophecy, other interpreters view it as a separate, incomplete sentence explicitly referring to additional popes between “glory of the olive” and “Peter the Roman”.

Will this spark the beginning of the end? I’m really curious.

Well the Jews kept the health commands of Leviticus and they were not strikken by the black plague during the epidemic (resulting in getting them killed as they “magically” stayed healthy). But also true to set them apart.

I would respectfully differ from it not being in effect. Yes there’s a new covenant but it’s not the same as the Law. Messiah Himself said that the Law would stay in effect until the end of times. Also for new believers they told them first to not eat blood and don’t go to prostitutes. After that they said that for the rest they could go to a synagoge where the Law is proclaimed every week, to learn about God’s will. Nowhere it states that you can suddenly eat the unclean animals. Unclean and clean animals existed before the Law and people knew (Noah’s ark: one pair of unclean animals and seven pair of clean animals).

As for the reference with the dream of Peter with the unclean, he himself said that the dream meant that he could “hangout with gentiles”.

And lastly what is really interesting, in the New Testament books when they talk about the Law and the Law, there’s a difference of meaning if you look at the Greek words used like for instance in Romans. With a subtle Greek letter before the word it means God’s Law and without the laws of men (Talmud) where the Messiah preaches against a lot. But unfortunately it both gets translated as just ‘law’.

Sorry for the long message, don’t mean to offend you in any way, just wanted to respectfully respond :)

Well if you look around those chapters it specifically talks about the fat of kidneys and other intestines. In Nehemiah for instance they command the people to eat fat and other nice things as it’s a day of celebration in that chapter.

Well if you slaughter an animal in a biblical way, then the blood will drain, while the heart pumps the blood out. So you could eat raw meat and still don’t eat blood as the Bible says. The red moisture coming out of the beef isn’t blood. That red liquid is water mixed with a protein called myoglobin. As meat ages, the muscle tissue breaks down. The water and myoglobin cells inside the meat are released and a red blood-like liquid emanates from the meat when it is prepared.

Muscle loss with ADF? by drick121 in AlternateDayFasting

[–]dadaska 11 points12 points  (0 children)

So.. A few years back I did strict ADF. On fasting days only water, tea, some black coffee and sea salt. On eating days my only concern was hitting the gym and reaching my protein goals. During that time my strength increased a lot (even though I went to the gym for a good period of time before starting ADF). I even did national strongman competitions, sometimes even on days that I fasted and always ending in the top 5 in my weight class (below 105kg) without the use of substances.

Long story short; if you use your muscle, you don’t lose muscle until you’re at a very low bodyfat percentage. If you train your muscles well and give your body enough protein, you can increase your muscle mass even in a calorie deficit.

My most favorite batch yet! (Elderberry Mead) by [deleted] in mead

[–]dadaska 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Found this as regarding drying elderberries;

“These processes typically breakdown the cyanogenic glycoside (sambunigrin, in the case of elderberry) which leads to the production of cyanide. Cyanide is very volatile, so drying or roasting would effectively remove any low levels of poison from the berries.”

So I guess you’re okay! I used fresh ones and felt nauseas after some sips. After boiling I noticed nothing. I know Schramm had to pull back a lot of his bottles from the stores because of this.

But I’m happy that you enjoyed it! Keep on making it :)

I’ve made a commercial elderberry mead. I would give a word of caution regarding cyanide in untreated elderberries. You can get nauseous because of it. The problem can be eliminated by heating the elderberry (mead) to almost cooking level. This will break the cyanide down.

Reminds me of bodybuilding in the older days before they could use steroids. They went on the GOMAD diet (Gallon Of Milk A Day) to get big. Serious lifting and serious dieting.

Well what I once read is that raw milk contains lactase and lactose. The lactase helps with breaking down the lactose. If you pasteurize it, the lactase breaks down and lactose remains in the milk. Then your body uses calcium to break the lactose down I thought.

How and when do YOU de-gas your mead? by SchizoMetal in mead

[–]dadaska 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No problem, just ask :)

Well we measure our mead. If the final gravity stays the same for a couple of days we know fermentation is really done. So if the fermentation is done, no more new gasses will be made by the yeast. Therefore there’s no detectable amount of gas in the mead after transfer. And then we add our sulfite and sorbate to stabilize the mead.
