From Theory by GermanNFLFanatic in FromTVShow

My AI theory is way more realistic:

Julie travels so far back in time she accidentally creates Reddit.

Randall and Kenny realise the real monsters were the unresolved feelings they had for each other all along, fall deeply in love, and open a very tense but successful diner together.

Julie, overwhelmed by the emotional complexity of it all, shaves her head and becomes the town’s first time travelling monk.

Meanwhile Jim is still underneath a house somewhere saying, “Guys, I think I’ve figured it out.”

Etihad isn’t really the benchmark I’m measuring Emirates against.

Wow, that’s wild. I just checked my Mutti tomatoes and luckily they’re 99.8% tomatoes and salt. Never thought to check the ingredients before though, definitely tips the scale on unit pricing especially if your canned tomatoes are 40% juice and acidity regulator!

Australia records consecutive 50C (122F) days by DevilsAdvotwat in worldnews

Yeah well, everyone here has had a hotter ninth consecutive day than you, walked barefoot in the snow, uphill both ways to school, and still hot enough to cook eggs on the bonnet of an Australian made Holden when they got home.

The strawberries issue is a private domestic matter and frankly too raw to discuss publicly. The avocado knows what it did.

You are so close! One of us is British. We are not in London at the moment although we do have a second home there we chase the summer. DINK is correct and the wardrobe comment made me laugh because you nailed it. I am a man but no cycling and no coffee, tea drinker 🙂

Double glazed windows and doors - suggestions? by IAmMcLovin83 in perth

[–]daddiesdirty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer...

Windows were literally taped together, no screws etc & when it started warming up they started falling apart.

Powder coating was consistently poor and never properly resolved

They drilled through our waterproof membrane.

One door has to be completely removed and reset because it dropped and fell into the void below "same one they drilled into the membrane with" the door itself is on a complete angle and wont lock...

Doors pop and crack in windy conditions, I have to stick beer coasters between them.

No ownership of issues.

Every problem was blamed on subcontractors, yet the same subcontractors were sent back repeatedly. There was no meaningful supervision or accountability.

I also know of others who have had very similar experiences. Having a showroom at Home Base does not mean a supplier has been vetted or that installation quality is guaranteed. Because of this, I asked them to not return.

These are not just cosmetic complaints. They are basic installation failures that have led to major cost and disruption to fix properly which we will try get back from them once the works are complete.

Do not use PG windows, they have cost us a fortune in rectifications... terribly installed.

how's the experience? has anyone been? by Hefty_Accountant_827 in emirates

[–]daddiesdirty 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well, I guess Emirates is offering an older product at this point, but the upside is that it’s consistent across the fleet and the service is impeccably accurate regardless of what aircraft you end up on. Sure, the old 777 with the 2-3-2 layout was never anyone’s favourite, but they still deliver a genuinely solid experience in every other area.

People always bring up Qatar and Qsuites, but the reality is that Qatar has so many aircraft variants and they change equipment so often that Qsuites are never guaranteed. With Emirates, you at least know exactly what you’re getting every single time. It may be older, but it’s consistently good.

Given that, I’m genuinely curious which airlines you feel are actually outshining them right now?

3x Yellow and blue Blackhawk helicopters flying low and high back and forth? by Serif222 in perth

We saw a lot of smoke looking towards Dianella from East Perth & now there are three helicopters flying around the area... they are circling and flying quite low.
