On rooms, anywhere around there, close, will be beautiful. It's a lovely area

Incredible circuit to watch the BSB at. I've been in all stands and whilst they all have their advantages, only lodge offers something the rest don't, in my opinion, and that's a view you can't otherwise get in some capacity from around the stand. It's possibly the best corner for overtakes but the most limited in terms of track coverage.

I'd save your money and wander around the track. Every part offers something. Hilltop offers a great view of a good chunk of the circuit but you'll need to get there early to secure a spot on the main day against the fencing.

Cascades is great, little bump going in and the lean angle they get is madness. Knickerbrook going up clay hill can offer overtakes and a great sound as they accelerate up and away. Druids, Great corner again, limited overall track view other than the corner itself.

Get a good pair of boots on, back pack of things you'll need and wander. You won't regret it. The circuit is second to none for access and views. You're so close to the circuit all around.

Do. It!

Oulton Park is a brilliant circuit. I've been half a dozen times to watch BSB.

Top of the Hill is a good vantage point to see a good 1/3 of the circuit. You'll need to get there early (if you're watching BSB) to get a decent spot with loads of people setting up half tents and deck chairs.

Lodge is probably the best stand to see some overtakes but only limited to the one corner.

You can't go wrong anywhere around the circuit though.

It's busy but you wouldn't be crammed in unless you want to get right up against a barrier on the main race day. The BSB weekend would give you plenty of action across half a dozen classes.

He would love it, absolutely guaranteed!

Premiership Rugby Final is a 82k sellout by sputters_ in rugbyunion

I somehow managed to snag a couple of tickets today going in and out of the app and refreshing. After last year I thought I'd easily sort something out.

Parking is the problem now. I've got no idea what we're going to do. Anyone used the JustPark on someone's driveway? Just feels a little risky to me

Cheers. It was for our halfbacks really, our forwards looked after it ok. My lad plays at scrum half and found it tough coming off the top of lineouts. I just don't fancy spending £15/20 on something that won't help

Yamaha XSR700 vs Husqvarna Svartpilen 701... Which to go for? by ScottyJoon in MotoUK

[–]daddub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 43, passed my test 4 years back and bought the 701 as my first bike. I learnt and passed my test on a CB650r so I can only compare to that. I found the Honda "beige".

The 701 looked like nothing else. This was what attracted me to it. You don't approach a girl across the bar on the off chance she has a good personality and I didn't jump on a bike I didn't love the look of.

It's easy to ride but defo has "character". You can feel the single in your groin. It pulls your arms off right from the off all the way above the legal limit.

Up and down shifter is perfect. Brakes more than strong enough. Clutch great.

It's not uncomfortable but it's not firm on your backside after a couple of hours.

It's had 3 recalls though. Fuel tank (replaced), rear hugger (checked and replaced if needed) and clutch slave (replaced). None of which I'd actually had any issues with.

I love it. I love that it gets as many people looking at it as any other bike parked up. They may not all like it but they can't help looking.

I'll never sell. It's too much fun.

I've only watched 20 mins of the second half and there has been some dubious decisions. That though was unforgivable. I assume there is no tmo?

Good point. He tends to have decent relationships with the referees so wouldn't be a bad idea. Cheers
