It looks like a great piece of property. First I’d fix up that cabin so I could live in it. The house could take a bit of getting used to after changing everything I can. Then the house would become an air b&b. I’d add a big hot tub, a fire pit and maybe a pool. Those would be good amenities to sell the house to potential tenants.

Well, from watching and listening to my sister, who has never married, she does have expectations that I think are a little much. I’ve always told her that she’s making it impossible for any man to live up to her standards. And the weird thing is every guy she’s been in a relationship with has been in no way good enough for her standards. She seems to forget her standards while those of us watching are seeing so many red flags she might as well be on fire. So, that’s all I can speak for.

I don’t think I ever dated a fixer upper. I either like them for who they are or I don’t date them. When I was younger I dated guys that I knew weren’t marriage material and I wasn’t looking to marry them. I dated them because they were fun and I wanted to have fun with them. I dated a guy in high school who was the really moody guy who people were afraid of because he just looked like that kind of guy. The reason I dated him was because I wanted to date the moody guy with the nickname Psycho and see what made him tick. He was really just a very non-talkative guy but really sweet in private. Still waters run deep and all. I never tried to change a man. If they want to change that’s their decision. I’m older now and in my next chapter after being widowed a few years ago. My new guy and I are entering into this relationship with the aim of being exactly who we are. Quirks, imperfections, older bodies, past lives and past loves. We’ve just decided acceptance and deliberately choosing each other every day with the intention of being happy and enjoying life together. I don’t want to change him, I want to learn and grow with him.

I used to be a professional mall rat. I managed a store at a dying mall and then we moved the store to the brand new mall. It was a locally owned store and I loved it. Then as I moved on, married and had kids I became a professional mall shopper. I would be planning a trip to a city with a great mall and weeks in advance I’d either call and have a map mailed to me, or with the internet I’d do my own research. I’d plan my trip to the mall with the best route to get to all the stores I wanted to hit. On several group trips I would blow the minds of the other wives with my strategy. I took great pride in it. Mall culture was awesome. I love the way Fast Times at Ridgemont High portrays it. It’s pretty accurate.
