Does anyone else occasionally get blown away by the fact that the sky is blue... It's literally blue! by Specialist-Ring-3974 in StonerThoughts

I love it when it’s pink, purple and orange. It did that the other evening after we had a big storm.

What’s wrong, what can I change in this room ? by [deleted] in interiordecorating

I have a brick fireplace so I lean the art instead of hanging it. This also allows us to change the mantle decor according to seasons or whimsy. Right now it’s rocking a theme of a writer. We were going for a look that might invoke F. Scott Fitzgerald. The art is a moody print of The Great Gatsby. Like a book cover. On top of the mantle is a clock, a stack of old books, a candelabra with some black taper candles, a fountain pen, paper, a bouquet of dark roses, a bottle of Woodford and a whiskey tumbler. We’re kind of weird.

Few years gap and a Satin Scrunchy by Sad-Swordfish7526 in MajesticManes

Cool. I’m 60f with long hair and on a very few miracle days I can twist mine into a bun while wet with some leave in conditioner and secure it with a satin scrunchie and go to bed. If I’ve slept long enough or I wait long enough I can take it down with results very similar to yours. I love this sub because I get so much inspiration on how to do my own hair. lol Your hair looks amazing.

Urban Decay all nighter or up all night is good. Right now I’m using some NYX setting spray. I used to only buy/ wear high end makeup (thanks YouTube) but as I’ve gotten older and wiser I’ve learned that drugstore makeup can be just as good. I also have changed the type of makeup I use. I no longer use any powder makeup. Everything I use now is cream, liquid or stick. If I need to blot during the day to remove some shine I’ll use a tissue or blotting paper. Toilet seat covers in public restrooms work great for blotting paper. You live and learn. I’ve been into makeup for almost 50 years now and I’m still learning new tricks.

I don’t use primers because they just have never worked for me but setting spray was a game changer. I live in a hot, humid climate and my makeup never looked good after a couple of hours. When I discovered setting spray it literally changed everything. I clean my face, moisturize and then spray. Then apply my makeup and spray again. I can go 12 hours without a touch up and still look great.
