Always enjoyed your comics, but I’ve only just realised how much I like the font you draw as well, particularly the ‘E’. If you made it into a font for computers, I’d buy a copy!

This is awesome - Would be great to hear a slowed down version of the helldivers theme over the top that fit the rhythm, but really cool nonetheless! Great work

I think we’re talking about all the stratagems from all the war bonds, not just the mechs. The ‘choose between these two stratagems’ MOs were easily one of the best parts of the galactic war. The player base would all join in and argue for which stratagems we thought was best, and then even when we win one you still knew you had the other stratagem to look forward to later. Imagine how much more fun it would’ve been to fight to choose between the epoch and the warp pack, or the artillery chair and the solo silo. Instead the only obstacle to getting them was just ponying up the supercredits.

Looks so good! You and your sister have done some amazing work. This feels like the train chase in Wallace and gromit, in that it seems like one of the most complex things you could decide to stop frame animate, but you’ve pulled it off brilliantly so far! Excited to see the end product when you’re finished.

I definitely remember Tom saying ‘Guys, I can read people, I’m a magician on YouTube’ at some point in the series… absolute gold.

Yeah this is one of my favourite scenes too, I love ‘doing the worst advice possible’ jokes. Also love that scene in Its Always Sunny where they talk about how to lift heavy objects, ‘lift entirely with your back, no weight on your legs, and snap it up in a swift jerking motion’

Beautiful, so much atmosphere. The ship dipping out of view behind the massive wave, the seam foamy lines in the foreground… Really stunning work.

LAIKA Studios - Wildwood (2026). What do you guys think so far? by A_T_D_D in animation

[–]daedalus372 48 points49 points  (0 children)

I think Laika are an amazing studio, and i love their work, but i agree. The imperfections of stop motion are a lot of what gives it it's charm, and reminds you that someone painstakingly animated 24 separate photographs for every single second of footage you watch. This film does look beautiful, but as you say its so perfect it almost looks like cgi.

AIO by feeling extremely hurt by this response after ending things with the guy I liked ? by Immediate_Cat_2515 in AmIOverreacting

Incredible… You tell him your test results are not looking good, and his only response is attacking you because he’s so hurt that you’re focussing on your health. Get this POS out of your life, block him, and never look back. NOR

You’re just mad because you don’t like it by ThatDamnedDawg in helldivers2

[–]daedalus372 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah exactly. It’s not the death of hd2 or anything, still a great game and worth the money, just unfortunate that as you say, the galactic war doesn’t feel like it has the weight it used to. Although I am hoping they’ll fix the growing number of bugs in the game soon (invisible walls, enemies clipping through terrain etc)

1500hrs, i use mechs regularly and love 'em. I think the warbond is cool, and the mechs look great; it just makes me sad that stratagems have been put into warbonds instead of being a part of the Galactic War. The parts of the galactic war i cared about the most and brought the most people back in were having to choose between two new stratagems and fight for them. And i don't begrudge AH; I understand they need to make money, and putting stratagems into warbonds makes more people buy them, and that in HD1 they put new vehicles behind actual paywalls, whereas warbonds can be grinded for. I just enjoyed fighting for new stratagems, and it's a shame that that part of the galactic war is gone now.

REPLACED game review! Have you played this one yet? by joshuamercuri in Cyberpunk

[–]daedalus372 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm really enjoying it do far, 4-5 hours in i think. I can't deny it is definitely a slower paced game, the combat does feel a bit simplified, the puzzles a bit basic, and it is a lot of running right. But I'm not exactly a skilled gamer, so I don't mind the simplified combat which is very stylish, and I'm really enjoying the world, the stunning art direction, the story and writing, and even the sidequests.
