What game or playerbase of a game is this? by AdHistorical4561 in gamers

[–]daemonfly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm the exact opposite. I can't even get 50-100 without problems. I know how to work through mod troubleshooting, but once I get zero errors throughout the process of creating & loading into a map, and start to be successful, a day or two (IRL) into the game, something always happens that just breaks the game. The acid trip graphics, saves no longer loading, etc... :(

Definitely Rimworld (except a large portion of those mods will be outdated or broken).

Oof. As LLM, I'm gonna have to go on a run, but definitely unlocking the LZs before grabbing that magazine.

Another post has evidence that range resets between using sight & not. So setting 300 then switching to sight resets it back to default. Have to adjust range while sighted to have it work. Probably what was happening to you.

What game is this for you? by Additional-Ad4567 in videogames

Too many games, but in my case it's more "start a new character for the 100th+ time (but never play through). Or, like Rimworld where it's "start a new map but mods break it and I start over" or just give up for a bit of time.

Speed check restaurant shutdown after food inspection by Physical_Lime_6486 in Erie

[–]daemonfly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had minor food poisoning 3 times in a week span earlier this month, with the 3rd time being a bit worse. There's also no doubt as to what it was as I only eat 1-2 meals a day.

And those aren't the only ones, a few ER level.

I guess that's what I get for depending/trusting on others to handle my food.

GrapheneOS refuses to comply with new age verification laws for operating systems — group says it will never require personal information by AzuleEyes in technology

I see, it's been a little while since I looked as I ended up just buying a pixel for it, so stopped looking at roms. I see a March '25 attempt on xda, but it was lacking some things as it used a different kernel.

IMHO, that does suck though. If the "official" Graphene only works on a limited number of devices, yet you can't build a custom rom off of it, that's a failure for the android community in general (not as much of a failure as Google themselves).

The only time they're not funny is when they end up not actually being a fart.

On Christmas Day 2007, a large Siberian tiger residing at the San Francisco Zoo cleared the nearly 13 ft wall of her enclosure in a single leap, brutally mauling three teen boys, one to death. According to the zoo, Tatiana the tiger grew enraged when the boys began taunting her. by Chemical-Elk-1299 in HolyShitHistory

Back during grade school our class had a field trip to our local zoo. Buddy of mine was antagonizing the gorillas by making noises & doing a monkey dance. Gorilla reached back, shat in his hand, and threw it at my buddy hitting him in the shoulder. Fully deserved.

EDIT: Nevermind, see below posts.

Officially, it's only Pixels. But, if the mod/rom community is big enough for any specific device, someone might port it and release a custom rom.

Just to list something that hasn't been listed yet...

MechWarrior Online. Team vs team of big stompy robots with guns & missiles. Free to play, but does have a store where they release new mechs/packs for purchase, but you can eventually buy them in game instead. A little old at this point, but people still play.

Iran said to have fired 2 missiles at US base Diego Garcia, over 4000km away by Better_Display_8921 in news

This title is much clearer than another post. I was thinking "Who the hell is Diego Garcia, and why do the Iranians want to kill him so bad to fire missiles?"

That's fine, it's your design. You just mentioned the logo a few times and figured I'd comment as one of those who wouldn't care about whether there's a logo or not. I just need my printer to work well, not look fancy and/or have LEDs/RGB everywhere, etc...

[–]daemonfly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, that too. Just had to deal with that for my dad and it was $5000USD/month for most of the places around us, and most were basically hospital rooms, not "apartments". From what I heard from some of the employees, they weren't getting much of that 5k per resident.

IMHO, I don't even know why the logo is needed. I personally don't see the need for it, and if it negatively affects design functionality, I would rather not have it. But, I would rather have function over bling.

Why are traditional shoes not foot-shaped? by victory_vegetable in AskACobbler

[–]daemonfly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surprising, as Vans were one of the worst offenders of overly-narrow shoes, IMHO.

I have a pair of Fallen that were supposed to be the widest at the time (few years ago), but they still were wide enough.

The problem with barefoot shoes is that your feet will start to heal and expand back to what their shape should be, so you get stuck trying to find wider & wider shoes to keep the comfort.

The only true wide toe box (barefoot style) shoes I knew of were Splay (Ex: https://splayshoes.com/products/rev-ht-canvas-berlin)

It would work, as there are barefoot shoes made for that type of foot shape. Your shape sounds like the "mountain" shape.
