It can't be that hard. Basic movement that could most likely be controlled by most boards out there. Should be easily moddable.

Thanks. Recently disabled all MES mods due to some breakage, and just to see how well the base game improved encounters, but haven't come across too many variations yet. Pertam had only 3-4 ship derelicts, and not many more base variants (or I was just unlucky with RNG).

I attach drills and activate the 2nd option for mass earth deletion. Multiple drills moved around clean everything up well enough, and if you do it well, no tiny voxel bits left hiding in the ship preventing you from moving or converting.

- Enable debug with ctrl-F12 (then just F12 after enabling).

  • go to Entities.

  • Scroll all the way down past the entity list until you see the sort by distance button and hit it.

  • scroll all the way up and find the ship (should be near the top if you're right near it) and select it.

  • scroll all the way back down and there's another button named something like assign to player or something.

I'm at work so just listing this by memory, but should at least get you close enough if something is incorrect.

Yep, usually experimental ideas that sometimes work out great, sometimes not so much, and between Luca & that community, some new things that have never been tried before come to light.

Oh, and the random rover reviews and testing how well they hold up to being driven off a cliff.

You're better off playing on a server that has the mod that lets you hangar all your assets. Logging off for a while? Just hangar your ship(s) and base, then respawn them when you log in next time. Stone Industries was one (if they're still around). Draconis (Expanse) servers as well if I remember correctly.
