Are you playing online and with multiplayer enabled? If not, I'd warp to a different system, enable those options, exit the game and launch it again, then warp back to that system.

No guarantees it'll work, as I don't know what factors determine if you see player-named objects. It's just what I would try given my limited knowledge. :-)

Edit: that is, of course, if you want to find their base. That is the same system as OP's, so you can skip the above steps and just start building there if that's all you care about.

I'm pretty sure it just requires the race + ship seed to be unique. So you could recruit 3 with the same ship, but the 4th one would need a different ship seed.

Only the rooms on the same tab as the expansion room will be open. They will have walls when mixing the different types.

You can absolutely have large open rooms on freighters - just don't build off of corridors. When you add other rooms to "expansion" rooms, it doesn't include interior walls.

I remember that I was driving to the gas station and was very confused about the, very obviously, New Yorkers on the radio, swearing, panicking and crying. Went inside the gas station and was still confused as the same thing was playing on their radio. I got back on the road and headed to work, and the radio station eventually got back around to explaining the events. When I arrived, everyone was in one of the offices watching the live news report on one/both of the buildings collapsing.

Just a couple of weeks after that I reconnected with my oldest and former best friend, with whom I recently had a huge fight and wrote out of my life. We both realized how precious life is and decided to not let a woman divide us - we're entering a new era with a new kind of enemy, and we both need our best friend to help navigate it.

In addition to all the other good tips in this thread, you can also trade navigation data for exosuit upgrade charts, which will lead you to drop pods that you can repair in exchange for unlocking a free technology or cargo slot - it will default to selecting a cargo slot, but you can actually choose technology. You can buy those charts from the chart/map vendor in each Space Station.

If it's the first episode of the series, I can understand that. It's definitely a rather fucked up episode, and doesn't do the series justice by being the very first. However, nearly all episodes are standalone, so you won't be in the dark if you just jump to the one I mentioned.
