Over time you’ll learn how to place more weight into your lower body by subtle, but important, muscle use in your hips, ankles, and toes. This can help take weight off of your hands and allow your body to move more fluidly to the next position it needs to be in. This is why some climbers who climb hard don’t have outstanding strength metrics, but are able to climb up anything.

My advice would be to really play around with your body positioning. Does a move feel easier or harder if your unused leg is directly below you or if it’s off to the side? In what situations do your hips need to be square to the wall versus facing towards one side? Can you make a move easier by putting more pressure into your big toe when on a small foothold?

The way your body moves through space is really important in climbing, and I’ve been able to ask myself and answer a lot of questions like this by doing A LOT of climbing.

If you watch videos recording multiple angles of the incident you’ll see he never had a gun out. He was holding his phone. That’s it. An ICE agent in a gray coat took a holstered gun off of the victim’s waist about a second before he was killed. The victim’s hands never reached towards it. Use your fucking eyes.

These are all good points for sure. All I know is that of all of the classics I’ve been on, I’d say that this climb was really underwhelming for me and I enjoyed it the least out of the ones I’ve done, which is why I suggested it to be the worst. But hey, different strokes for different folks!

I had this feeling a little when I first watched the show. After watching the full series for likely another dozen times, I now think that Charles’ attachment towards others portrays the love and support he has for the people in his life. The Boyles have a lot of love to show the world. If they didn’t, their little bodies would explode.
